I would think that one person's ideal of a good photo is different from another, and a lot of it depends on what is on the photo. I think it's best to take photos are that of people, and in an authentic situation, rather than a posed one.

After I become an acquaintance of a professional photographer, then I understand the most important factor to make a super photo probably is the light. Even if you just have a common camera, if you can take good advantage of the light, you can still have a good photo shot. I hope I can learn it.

a good photo needs to be sharp (the subject)... it makes or breaks everything. and it's not what subject you like but how you present the subject to the viewers to understand what your conveying... meaning the relationship of your subject to the story that you want to show to the viewers.

I've recently enjoyed taking photos because I had a new DSLR camera, hehe! But even before that I have my digicam and was able to figure out how to use it effectively,I've been taking photos of anything that I think will come out good. I've joined a site where I can post my photos and earn money from them and this motivates me more to take good photos. Good photos for me would mean, neat and clean and greatly captured. Be it anything like a person, place or just an insect for as long as the color of it and the moves are captured neatly,I consider it a good photo. I would like to share with you one macro photo of an insect I took in our garden and I was really amazed to see how an insect looks like in close-up!
