after googling for couple of hours i found a step by step guide on how to root your android phone. but still i was'nt sure because of the warning that it may brick your phone or it can start functioning abnormally.thank god it all went well. rooting HTC desire was tedious a task because of their increased security measures.but thanks to xda developers they still found the loopholes.i just wanted to remove those stupid system apps an now my phone is fully rooted with no low internal memory problem.

i wish to be able to do this with my android phone, i guess though it will take time. i have a copy of the step by step but just right now, i think i still have to gather some courage to do this as i have this application running that might be lost. i am not willing to do this just yet. ;)

don't worry if you bought it in 2010 or earlier yo can easily root you phone without any harm .from the year 2011 smartphones manufacturers decided to increase their security measures and hence it became difficult to root the device and also a little risky. Best of luck. cheers and thank you,

I rooted my phone long time ago just with help of xda developers...they are great...because of them,i was able to remove unnecessary apps provided by provider and i can free some of my memory also after rooting i was able to install few apps on to my SD card which was again pretty good feature to have with android 2.1 at that time..

yes it is the biggest advantage of rooting.we can free our internal memory of those stuppid apps and also can increase it using sd card.

I was having the same problem with my LG Optimus; I had thought about rooting it for some time, reading different online tutorials and reviews and looking for advice as to whether or not I should just go ahead and do it. Finally, the low internal memory was too much and I went for it. I have to say that I am very happy I did. Not only do I not have to worry about the low memory alerts anymore, it has made my phone more functional as I can place more apps onto a SD card and have even more memory on the phone. I am also running a different Android OS version (Gingerbread) which has been more functional for me. And like you I no longer have to worry about the system apps that could not be removed from the phone. Overall I have to say it was a great decision to do so and I am enjoying having new features on my phone I could use.

:D good for you. i rooted my galaxy before but something unnecessary happened so i consulted it to the provider. Unfortunately, i don't have any right for warranty because this activity is not covered by the policy. I'm just thankful that the guy there is very generous and helped me with my problem at no cost :D I will never ever do anything that i'm not expert/versed with.. i hate regrets.. :D
