No. This is so not true, it's laughable!
The numbers represented by the bar code are nearly always printed below (as you can see from the example you posted). There is nothing 'secret' about a barcode. It is simply a string of numbers which can be read with a barcode reader.
There is nothing mysterious about the number '666' either. In any case, it is very likely to be due to a scribal error. The earliest known manuscript of the Book of Revelations has the number of the beast as '616': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast and so do a number of other manuscripts. It's just possible, of course, that both may be correct, depending on whether one uses the Greek or the Latin version of 'Nero Caesar' for the gematria calculation.
The government don't need to place barcodes in our bodies for the simple reason that we already carry something which can uniquely identify us - DNA. All that any government needs is a simple and instant DNA scanner. Developing such a device would cost a great deal less than tattooing barcodes on the whole populace!

I think that you probably meant 'electronic chips' rather than 'barcodes' when you referred to the Government wanting to keep tabs on us ... a little bit of forgiveable 'artistic licence', I guess.
Has it occurred to you, I wonder, that the Government actually don't need to spend money giving us all microchips because we already buy them for ourselves? Everyone who owns and uses a credit card, debit card, mobile phone, computer and, of course, a passport ALREADY carries enough identifiable, scannable information about with them so that any government who really wanted to could know where you are, what you are doing and what you have bought with very little trouble. If you happen to be a suspected terrorist, it is very probable that you are being tracked in this way as we speak!

lol I had to look at my pack of smokes and anything else around me. No 6's in the barcodes. As for putting bar codes in people there was a movie about that. I can't remember what movie it was but it was a way for the government to track people down and know where they are at all times! Hey it may help with finding missing people, fugitives, terriorists etc... You never know what the future will bring!

Yes but putting them in everyone would be wrong. It is what the Christians would refer to as the mark of the beast. But then again a computer could be interpreted as the mark of the beast as well. Just about everyone spends time in front of one and has one. The mouse is on their hand, and the screen is on their forehead. (pointing at it at least.)

I don't think it is true, but you never know. I would not think they would put bar codes in our body, but have heard about putting chips under the skin to tell your medical history, although I haven't heard of it being done.

Just for amusement, I am looking at a barcode now. It is '5 000393 076953'. Someone who believes in this stuff might look at it and reason as follows:
1) Ignore the '5' - that is the country code (representing the UK)
2) '0003' ... that is 3 zeroes followed by a 3. That must be a code for 3+3 = 6!
3) '93' ... clearly, 9 - 3 = 6!
4) What else do we have? There's one 6 in the rest of the numbers ...
5) Oh, oh, oh! ... Three sixes! That PROVES it!
Trust me, you can do this kind of thing (it can get a LOT more involved, too) with MOST barcode numbers, ticket numbers, or whatever!

I am sure we could come up with a set of 3 other numbers also. I see 3 threes without looking too hard.

No I dont think thats true at all. People might take numbers and add them up and say see there are 3 hidden 6's in all barcodes but its pretty ridiculous. The barcode on the book that is sitting next to me is 065373004505... There is only one 6 in it.
