I hate to actually say this but,,,I always went to my parents house for Thanksgiving it was a tradition, the one year I decided I wanted to cook for my family including my new boyfriend at the time after my divorce, well, I was always away from the kitchen when my mother prep and cooked the turkey. So I'll give you a good guess as to what happened to me? I am one of the one's who FORGOT to take the gizzards and neck out of the inside of the turkey.
The turkey came out of the oven, everyone was so impressed with how it looked and said" Oh she did such a good job, I can't wait to taste it" Then came the time to carve it, I just about burst into tears when my dad and my now husband said" Um honey, what did you forget to do?" I couldn't think of anything that I had forgotten, well my dad pulled them out and said" Your not suppose to leave them in"
Needless to say that was 13 years ago now and I still get checked up on every Thanksgiving morning " Don't forget to take the stuff out of the bird"

My mother was cooking the turkey and it was dinnertime. My father went to pull out the stuffing and pulled out these little bag of liver/gibblet looking things..heheheh. Gross.
