I think Parandelli has done a great job so far for Italy. But theirs is still a work in progress. The team needs to develop in a lot of areas. Also, they are working for the first time on the attacking philosophy of Parandelli. On the other hand, the Spanish team is a well settled team with a well established playing philosophy of tiki taka football.
And that difference really showed up very starkly during the match.
Cheers!

Prandelli deserves all of the congratulation, he has made a "castle out of poop", like we Hungarians like to say about magnificent accomplishments made with weak resources. We have to be honest and say that Italy has accomplished more than it's value, because the majority of Italian players are mediocre, only Buffon and Pirlo being world class, Cassano and de Rossi good players and Ballotelli a genius, but because of his strange character he struggles to demonstrate it.
As for Prandelli, he has made great jobs everywhere we went, and he didn't have many important players at the clubs neither. So I think he has to go to a team where there are many good players and he will even win important trophies.

Yes, his handling of Cassano and Balotelli has been really top class. These two are mercurial players and you never know what you will get from them. But throughout the tournament they played very well leading the line for Italy without any unnecessary controversies.
Cheers!

Prandelli did a good job by leading Italy to the final. One question that will be asked is that why didn't he deploy the 3-5-2 which served them well in the opening game against the same opposition. In any case, lady luck seems to have deserted them in the last game. Chiellini, was forced out of the game through injury. Lets not forget also that Italy played the last 30 mins with only 10 men after their final substitute, Motta, suffered a hamstring injury within 5 mins of his introduction.

Buffon also said that spain is superior.I think frandelli already doing best work. All of italian footbal star has play together.Casano,Balotelli,Di Natale,Pirlo. But they can't do anything.Maybe the players from Italy too tired when they meet Germany. And also the injured from 2 players : chielini and motha i think become a cause of italian team perform.Spain like Barcelona. They played with good strategy football.

Win or lose is normal in football. Losing 4-0 is surely not a small margin but if you have seen the way Spain played last night, they could have scored more goals than just the 4. Spain just performed exceptionally well last night. Spain is indeed a class above most of the teams in the Euro 2012. Germany is the closest but still not at the same height. Italy is definitely not at the same class but the fighting spirit that they showed carried them all the way to the final with Pirlo, Balotelli and Buffon their most outstanding players. The Italian coach has done all he could.

In terms of class, it is clearly shown who has the extra strength in every department. The Spanish armada, with or without a pure striker still manage to score goals through their midfielders. Their "tiki taka" philosophy was perfected long time ago, even through their Barca connections at club level. Despite aging, a few players such as Iniesta, Xabi and Xavi have performed admirably and proven to the world they still have what it takes to beat other strong nations. As for Italy, their journey through the tournament was a brave one as they didn't really performed well even in friendlies or group stages. Plus, Italy who is famous for the "catenacio" or water tight defence, opted for a more attacking approach which is a little new to them. Their over reliance on players like Pirlo, De Rossi and Balotelli have taken it's toll. I mean, once these players under perform or man marked very well, it is hard for the Italians to find their inspiration from. It's all been a great tournament. The spanish national team have created history while the Italians as always manage to prove critics wrong.
