I read a book called the Clear Skin Diet (more about using diet to curb acne than weight, but I later learned pretty much all the rules were the same!) which said, "Follow the rainbow." Best diet tip ever. Eating an assortment of colorful fruits and vegetables will help you to get lots of great nutrients and minerals. So it doesn't surprise me in the least that purple is recommended right up there with green. Reds, oranges, and yellows are good too, and it's best if you have them all together! But not when they're made of sugar. They have to be naturally-occurring colors. lol
