Peppermint is an herb that can be consumed hot or cold. In the summer cold peppermint tea is one of my favorite drinks for the following reasons:
1-It's alkali forming so it helps me balance my body chemistry if I eat too many acid forming foods.
2-It's a great source of minerals.
3-It's a mild, caffeine free, stimulant that has a cleansing and toning effect on the body.
4-NO CALORIES, unless of course, you add something like a sweetner.
5-It's great for digestion.
This information is found in books entitled THE HOW TO HERB BOOK and PRESCRIPTION FOR NUTRITIONAL HEALING.

Peppermint is a great herb. I enjoy peppermint tea hot. I have never tried it cold but hot has always been great. I normally sweeten mine with honey. (I just found out that if you are not suppose to mix honey with anything hot) I will have to figure out a different way to sweeten it now. Do you grow your own peppermint and use it for your tea?

I don't grow my own peppermint but I live next door to a health shop where I can buy it.
I think the honey in your tea is a great idea. I understand that honey is great for killing off the H pylori bacteria that people can sometimes have in their stomach so...
it sounds like you know what your doing.
