Don't mad on me about this because I saw this phrase in one of the signboard near in my work. I noticed that the company and establishment is dealing with kitchen and home appliances and accessories. So I stop and think how this phase connected to their business?
As I know this phrase is about to a person which you can see the beauty outside but unable to use the brain inside.. How about you? What is mean to you this?

I think the phrase isused to refer to appliances with a good appearance---they can be decorative but are functional. Ikea uses this phrase for their kitchen set-ups. They are trying to show that your kitchen can be beautiful, but the regular appliances are still there. Perhaps their appliances was special functions, take for example, the so-called "smart fridge." I think it's a good tag line for this product line.
As for it's regular meaning, it is a compliment to a person who is both beautiful and intelligent. There seems to be this common notion that beautiful people are dumb and that they depend on their beauty, not their brains, to get by. It seems as if a woman with beauty on the outside and brains on the inside is a rare commodity. Sometimes we just say "She's beauty and brains." Sometimes it's even "She's beauty, brains, and body."

No I find this pretty clear. I do not know how far i am correct but nowadays home appliances are coming with highly modernized version with a number of sensors. And this thing is also increasing their demand. Hence they are termed " smart" (like smart phone). So they are beautiful in their appearance and have virtual brain as you discover this by using them.

I guess, what they meant was that, the kitchen looks beautiful with all modern equipment and all those decorating stuff.Added to this,it gives us the room to be thoughtful and to make delicious foods so that we may enjoy not only the kitchen sights but also the tasty foods from them.Guess, their way of saying, they are brilliant in making such beautiful kitchen. Just my assumption,I might be completely wrong.Happy mylotting.

I think it means the classic beauty and brains combination. However, I don't see how this is connected to the home appliances.

For me, this phrase is positive because it indicates that a person can have both, attractive physical appearance and be intelligent.
Beauty usually applies to a female and some people think that a beautiful woman might be stupid.
That's why dumb blonde jokes exist. Those jokes suggest that a pretty blonde isn't capable of using her brain which is a misconception.

Brain beautifies everything. I think the phrase is too poor to specify the merit of that company's products.

hi,
when i read it i will think that is apply for a person, but you sais its for the appliances, brain inside is you are totally brainy in terms of theory but in application is not,and the beauty on the outside is just an appearance but inside you can be bad or having an ugly attitude,i dont know if i am correct or not but just only an opinion.
