Loveistheonlytruth, hello to you. I wonder where could you have read that story before? I think that story is fictitious, and it has no 'bearing of truth' in it. Can you imagine if wht you read is true, by this time, the world would have mainly bald headed humans or billions of inividuals with dandruff walking around? Worse, can you imagine all animals in the animal kingdom walking around with hairless skins (almost looking like dogs afflicted with skin disease), or flaky skins? Not even acid rain would cause such an occurrance in the world to the animal kingdom! That thought is 'Not Cool!' In addition, this outcome (of being hairless or having flaky hair)cannot be neither a pleasant sight, nor a happy thought to be considered!

Maybe that was acid rain. but this acid rain is a rare case. I have been bathing and enjoying the rain since childhood and my hair is even shiny after bathing from rain. There are cases of acid rain- but it's very rare. To avoid any problem...don't bath or get wet from rain during the first rains after summer.

Hi loveistheonlytruth, I don't know where you read that but I don't "buy into" that concept, at all. I believe rain is healthy. It makes everything clean and Lord knows.... we need water. My understanding is that losing hair and dandruff could be a result of nutritional deficiencies but I don't have proof, either. Have a great day!

I don't think rainwater causes hairfall and dandruff, but it depends on the rainwater. Is it clean? Did it pick up something in a poisonous container? Is it acid rain? A lot of cities have the problem of acid rain. Yes, that probably will destroy your hair.
