This is probably my favorite cartoon series since I've become an adult. The best part is the squirrel chasing after his acorn. Even though its a small part of the whole thing it is always so funny.
I think there is another ice age coming out soon but I can't remember for sure.
When I saw first ice age I laughed my head off. Then the 2nd came out and I thought no way they could make more out of it and still be a good movie or funny as the first. But to my surprise it surely was just as good.
I have not seen more than the 2nd movie but I had wanted to really badly. I bet they're still going strong and I will laugh so much, just as much as the first time I saw it. It surprises me that there is quality like this still in the world but other times the entertainment will be completely gone since they just want the money.

Oh, I did not know it was out already. Do you plan to go see it in the theater? I would if I could but I know that I can not afford the theater so I will have to miss out on this one. Its supposed to be in 3D though right?

hello,
This is my favourite series too. All the characters in this movie series are so funny and cute and lovable. I like al of them. The main character Sid is my favourite cartoon character of all time. He is my favourie. He is so funny. I love him a lot. The tiger and the mammoth are also very nice and funny. Specially mammoth is so huge but stil a bit stupid. I like that. Tiger is the real man here. Very brave and the saviour of them. BUt sid still steals the show. He is the real master. All the Ice age movies are very funny.

Sid really stood out on this fourth movie. He was more than just the "dummy" and I thought they did well to show Sid more this way.

Well, to be honest I do not like animation movies.
However, having said that I have found that "The Ice Age", has had fantastic success.
In fact I remember to have seen a few "cuts", if only the part where the squirrel chasing his acorn. And I must say that I loved that scene

That is one of the scenes that keeps you wanting to see more of it. I am surprised at the success of animated movies in recent years myself.

This movie really is something. I think the key ingredient to it's success is that they do not extend the story from the sequel. They introduce new plots and scenario to every movie so it is like watching a whole new movie only with familiar or same characters. I think it is the genius of it.

I would have to agree with you. The characters are the things we love. If they were not the same, we would not be enjoying the new movies they're creating.

I can agree with you there; it's really fun when you've mined through movies and found a gem you adore. I wish more production houses would wait until they have an inspiration before they make a movie, instead of just making movies on a cheap, quick assembly line kind of way. But, the business needs to run all the time I'm afraid.

Yes it seems like the inspiration of movies has near to disappeared. Instead of waiting for a great idea they now just take ANY idea and try to make it into a film. Even to the point of revamping old plots and stale characters that you can not revive. It is sad but true.
