I have never seen waiters there! That is sounding kind of crazy to me! I don't see the point of that because then its basically trying to be a diner or something? But it would be very neat to see it because its not common. The fast food companies could afford much more than what you describe!

None of the mcdonald's by me have waiters. I think that is crazy to have waiters at a fast food restaurant.

Yeah that makes sense. I don't think they would be doing much as a waiter for a fast food restaurant, seems like a waste of money for that person.

Perhaps its a part of the company's ways of satisfying their customers, that they have more what the consumers have to expect

There's only one Mcdonald's here in our small town and it doesn't really have anything fancy in it. At least nothing that really differs from other fast foods around. I am surprised, however to read that there is actually such a thing as an upscale Mcdonald's with waiters. It's common to have crews here who would clean up your table immediately after you leave and do all the other cleaning, but an actual waiter to get your order and serve it to you, that's one I have yet to experience.

I am starting to wonder if the author of this post was maybe making up something that would be neat for them if it were like that? I am confused though. I don't think there actually is a mcdonalds like that! If there is I would like to know where!

Lafayette Indiana has a unique Mcdonalds. You sit at the table pick up a phone and dial in what you want to eat then a waiter/waitress brings your meal out to you. It is crazy. They also have about 100 items on the menu that aren't typical menu items to other Mcdonalds around the world. It was very weird to go to cause we were thinking we were going to a regular mcdonalds. But overall it was a fun experience!

I have not seen any fast food quite that upscale. I know I have been to one on a riverboat, and there was one that had a giant aquarium in the middle of the restaurant.

I have never been to one but I think upscale McDonald are more common now especially in Europe and the US. It's their new way of promoting the newer McDonald. And I think it's getting attention now than before.Although I doubt it if they will do the same in third world countries.

I wasn't aware that there was such a thing as an upscale McDonald's. I have never seen one with waiters. Most of the ones here have the playrooms or fun centres for the kids and I have eaten at those ones. A lot of them here now have free wifi as well available to paying customers.

Sometimes when we are on a long road-trip we stop at McDonalds when we need a bathroom break. Usually we have something to eat before we go back on the road. We have found that There are other things to eat at McDonalds besides fast food and deepfried potatoes. If there are other places to stop besides McDonalds we would stop there instead. Tim Hortons is a much better place, and its a favorite of my wife's.

We do have mcdonalds here but i am not fond of eating at fast foods, my kids only love it because of the toy in the happy meals.. but we rarely bring them there as well..it is a bit unhealthy. I only love their caramel sundae.

The mcdonalds restaurants that I have frequented are very basic. I have never been in one that had a waiter. Until now, I did not even know that it existed in that way. I have been to mcdonalds that had receation for the chikdren t keep them entertained while they dine. I think that the mcdonalds establishments have cime a long way since their beginnings and will continue to do so.

well i there is some McDonald is my country that has flats screen tv playing MTV non stop and also WIFI free access and free magazines racks and such. But all of them do not have waitress as it is self service.YOu can refill your cola drinks as long as the cup is big size. The seating is quite retro modern but still follow the McDonald color scheme or red yellow orange style.

That's pretty cool. McDonald's is very innovative with their store layouts. And that is a good strategy for them to become more marketable. It's like bringing customers to a new dimension while they are inside the establishment.

I have never seen an upscale McDonalds at all. I have been to the ones with the playroom in it but thats it.
When I was much younger burger king near me was done in a 50's style which was REALLY neat. But that was not mcdonalds.
I have never seen anything like that. Where is it at?

I have never eaten at an upscale McDonalds and I didn't know that one existed. I would love to go to one though. Where is the one that you went to located? It's cool that there's one in Indiana though I've never been there and can't afford to travel right now but maybe someday. It does seem like a lot for a fast food place but if there are other foods there like the one in Indiana that would be great.

Yes i have been to those restaurants! It is so funny that they have the little fun center on the side. But I think this is a marketing strategy for Mc Donalds to increse their sales. Targeting kids is a good move for Mcdonalds.

And I think a real good way to attract customers coz it's quite unique for a fast food chain. They will really find a way to do that because the many competitions going on.
Haven't visited with that kind of place but I am eager to see what it really looks like...Been eating mcdonalds actually.

Wow McDonald's with waiters? Never heard that before... that will be awesome if the MacDonald franchise here our country will do that. I loved the food ever since i was a child. My mother always buys me a Happy meal, you know the meal with free toy. I loved the apple pie, burgers and fries. I loved them but at the same time hate them. Because of the food i became a almost 200 pounder... duhhhh.

I remember being in New York City several years ago, they had a doorman and a pianist. The prices on their menu was high. I spent $20.00 for two adults and a 6 -year old.

They have upscaled McDonald's? lol. Im kidding, I know what you're talking about.I've seen nice looking ones from the outside, but I didn't think they were any different on the inside lol. I don't get fast food very often, because it literally makes me really sick, but I used to LOVE their chicken nuggets there. Yummmm.

I ever work as crew on mcdonald's. In my country there is no ones restaurant designed to be different from the another restaurant. So sometimes the customer will be boring with their service.
