A while back when I first started using Netflix for streaming TV I saw that there was a TV show Total Recall 2070 which came out more or less as a follow up to the movie. The movie Total Recall was more or less based on a short story "We can remember it for you wholesale" by author Philip K. ****. (I can't say his last name here because mylot will censor me because of the name's double meaning.) Last night, I saw the first episode of the TV series. The storyline here has elements based on the short story by also elements from one of Philip K.'s novels "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". The novel was used as the basis for the movie "Blade Runner" Although the movie Recall followed a character Douglas Quaid, who has nightmares about having been a spy on Mars. the TV Recall follows

I will have to look for it. I also stream my tv programs through a Roku. I am saving so much money by doing it too.

I could not find it on Netflix or Amazon. Do you think they removed it?

Hello burrito88 Thanks for yet another Netflix recommendation. I'll have to check into Total Recall 2070, as I enjoyed the movie, Total Recall and also very much enjoy Blade Runner. Mrs. Turner and I have been enjoying Netflix so much this past week. We are watching Hawaii 5-0, The Rockford Files, Mod Squad, and others from their very beginning. We are also watching Dark Shadows, but so far have found it more humorous than impressive. Have you ever watched Dark Shadows? Do you know if it ever gets better? Peace

I saw the original Dark Shadows which started off slowly until they brought in Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins as the vampire. Usually people think of Frid as the star of the sow but originally the show was based around Alexandra Moltke who played the governess Victoria Winters. The original show ran for 5 or 6 years and at times might be confusing because it jumped back in time with the same actors playing their ancestors. I watched some of the when it first came out but I was in high school at the time. Since I had stuff going on after school, I couldn't watch all the time and eventually gave up on it because the show was too soap operaish to me. (Jonathon Frid recently passed away and I think he was pretty well type cast after the show at least as far as TV goes.) There was a remake of the show starring Ben Cross which did not last very long. I've never seen any of that. Which version are you watching? I've started watching the Rockford Files and I've been surprised at how many of the episodes I remember. I only wish Netflix would run Maverick and some of the old Warner Brothers shows from the early '60's. (Cheyanne, Bronco, 77 Sunset Strip, etc.)

We're watching the original Dark Shadows. It is slow going, but we are planning to continue watching in the hopes that it gets better. We're really enjoying the Rockford Files as well as the original Hawaii 5-0. I know that much of my enjoyment of 5-0 is recognizing places I know there, but it's also a good show. It would be interesting to see shows from the early 1960's, as well.
