Is it because of religion?

Tom and Kate just recently announced that their marriage is over. Kate filed their divorce in New York last week, stating irreconcilable differences as the reason. It has been rumored too that it is Tom's religion that's bothering their marriage. I don't much about scientology, so I couldn't make an opinion on this. What about you? Do you think religion is the main cause of their break-up?

sometimes, in a couple is misunderstanding is bec. of the religion, but some couples do not talk about it, as long as they are happy to each other. and there is only one God

Maybe, if there's something about toms religions that bothers them.. But I think, its not only about it. There are possibly other reasons of their separation. Because if at first, they have differences of religious belief and accepted to be bonded as one of which religion they've agreed to be tied-up.. its simply means that one have gave-in for the reason of loving someone.. unless one of them suddenly changed and realized things about one's religion unacceptedly.

Their marriage is failed because of many reasons, i think..not only religion. We are outside so that we couldn't understand whole their story clearly...We regret for their marriage...

there are just way too many reasons for a break up. It is also possible if it's due to religion but we won't really know because we do not know the full story of their relationship. They are mature enough to know how to handle their relationship. Wish the best for them in the future! :)

Tom is a Scientologist and Katie I think was raised Catholic so I think his religion might cause some difference in the marriage. Plus, they have a child and they might have different opinions as to how she should be raised. On Inside Edition a week ago they had a story on where apparently when a child reaches a certain age in Scientology, they are sent away and basically trained for the religion. I don't know if that's true or not...

Actually I don't know the reasons why Tom and Kate would get divorced. I don't know their religions, too. But I think they know their religions are different when they met each other. So they shall spend some time to talk about it and then try to adjust to each other. It shouldn't be a reason for them to break-up. Otherwise they even wouldn't get married at first. I love China

Kate is just crazy, what a funny excuse she has made up. She accuses Tom for being superstitious..lol.She is chauvinistic. It is not reason enough, she fears that Tom will influence her daughter, and encourage her to follow Scientology?.. Mothers have more influence on their children and if she can't make her daughter follow her own religion, there is something seriously wrong with her. Its Tom's bigheartedness that compelled him to carry this Kate burden for 5 long years.. I wish Tom a happier divorced life, someday his daughter will return to him, when she learns the truth. But it will be a good idea to keep some chocolates with him.

We can say so much as if we really know the whole story but we don't. All those things people wrote about their divorce should just stop if they are just speculating. Maybe we should stop too and get a life.
