Have this thought ever crossed your mind? I just imagined that maybe the people who opted to leave their home towns or leave their country for a chance at another country must have thought of this at some point. I think it is something many people who did changed citizenship have really opted to do so because they feel they are better off elsewhere than their own country. So have you ever thought of it for yourself?

Sometimes I think my life would be better somewhere in Europe. My country is seriously going downhill, with the economy and dirty politics and even with the entertainment! =P I do think it's interesting though how someone might wish they could have spent their whole life in Europe or in Asia - and another person might have, and wishes they could have spent their whole life in America!

aren't we all thinking that the pasteur is greener on the other side.. i believe many people believe so.. that other countries may offer better opportunities for them.. but the work i think is twice as hard, even thrice. Many have successful lives out of their home country but many others too have failure stories. Our decisions should always actually be based on what we think is the best for us for a long time. sometimes, our curiosity gets the best of us.. we are adventurous by nature and we love to discover things maybe part of what we want was to know what is out there... right?

No i never thought of this kind.Because no other country except of mine has in possession to lead a happy and contended family life ignoring making money only.Every country should have some principles for the regular leading of life with attachment with the family members. There will be lot of troubles in a common joint family but the happiness got from this type could not be found anywhere.Give and take, dealing quietly and calmly facing extradinary trouble and turmoils come across the day to day life.Man alone can think laugh and have power of discrimination of good and evil. All these should be properly utilized for the welfare for the human being as a hole. For which the tendency of giving respect to the darma and living with straight forwardness without hurting or paining anybody.

I have been to America on holiday, and I have read a lot about their history and how life is for people who live there, and I have to say that I really do feel as though I would be able to be a lot happier if I was living there. I don't know why, because I know that the whole of my family live in England, but there is just something about the way of life in America that makes me think that things would have been better if I had been born over there instead of here. But I guess that you can't change the place you were born, so there isn't all that much point in getting stressed about it.

hi gemma. Tank you for your response. I think it is about how they live their lives. Many say youd really feel free in the US. I cant say nor confirm that though as i havent been there. Honestly i cannot imagine myself living in another country other than the Philippines. The thing is i hope to know how it is like in other countries and experience being there but ro entirely live there and give up what i have right now i haven gone to that decision just yet.

I always think that my life would have been much better if I would have born in America. I don't like many things about my country. I dont like the food habits of our people and many more things. Everything is so complicated in our country. But I like the way things are in America. I sometimes think that may be I was an american in my previous life.

hello akash! Yes we tend to see what we have as our cultuee and may not like it... I have some of these in my own country as well. I sometimes do not like how things are done here... Our government... And so on but there are also many other things i love like the people and how life can be really slow paced compare to othr countries we see. If all the negatives can be changed or eliminated... I think everything will be quite well... Or perfect then i wouldnt be thinking sometimes or wonder what life would be if i was not born here in this country.

Hi Chiyosan, Yes I do. And I am thinking now of moving into another country....but I just don't have the luck as of the moment. Still, even though I might leave...I would definitely be back with my home country because I have friends and relatives in here. I just hope things would go on what I really wanted. Happy Mylotting.

hi smurf i hoe you would be able to find the right time to go and find the right place where your heart callls you. the only thing that might set you back is your family whom you may not be fully ready to leave.

You can blame other people to think about that, since going abroad and migrating there is worth a try to earn a living and life condition will be better-off.

To answer your question, no. I don't think my life would be better if i were born in another country. Life's difficulty depends on the adaptability of a person. Every country, no matter how prosperous it is, have their downsides and hardships. There are always poor fellas in the sides, not everything is perfect. For me, it's not about the country where you live in. It's how much industry you would invest to get what you need and most especially to get what you want.

I think where I was born is already very good comparing to some other countries that people always have to starve and suffer from infectious diseases. However, since I would like to study science and the best place to study things related to technology and science will be the US and the UK. I am paying the fees for overseas student. Therefore, the fees are extremely expensive comparing to the local students. Other than this, I have no reason why I would like to be born in another country.

Never.I am an Indian and feel myself exceptionally fortunate to be born in this country as a Hindu.I know,we Indians don't have the facilities that the USA or some other developed countries have.Still I am more than happy here.I love my country,my religion and my culture.Everything that is Indian fascinates me.As an Indian and a Hindu I love and respect all religions and all countries.I am already better off in my own country,India.

It would be a hypocrite of me if I wouldn't admit that even once in my lifetime, I have thoughts of being a citizen of another country. Actually, we almost have began a life overseas, particularly in the US, but my mother decided against it still. Now that I have come to think about it now, I guess these thoughts couldn't do anything to totally alter my feelings regarding my citizenship now. Perhaps I have always been meant to be what I am right now, and not of any other kind, because this is where I exactly belong, after all. Moreover, I feel blessed as well for having been born and raised here in the Philippines, as a true-brown Filipino.

Great question. Yes, often I wonder if I would have been successful had I been living in another country However, I must remain contended as GOD has placed me in this situation because HE believes it is the best possible scenario for me. Thank you LORD!
