BBCA - Only The Doctor (DOCTOR WHO) Can Save Merlin! How Will He Do It?

I've called attention to the big inconsistencies between-the good-old story of Merlin, Arthur & Camelot and -the new BBC-America 'retelling' "Merlin," and had said that I would not watch "Merlin" for fear of pulling away from the original story too much; but all the "Merlin"-marathons BBC-America has been doing lately reminded me of another BBC-America marathon I rather like: DOCTOR WHO!
That gave me an inkling of an idea BBC-America might play-out: Camelot might call upon The Doctor, who will somehow restore all the legendary specifics BBC-America is leaving out so it can turn Camelot into a kind of "Beverly Hills 90210."
Heck! Merlin might turn out to actually be The Doctor (suffering amnesia after regenerating as an infant and landing in the nursery of a woman in the Camelot area) ...
I don't know, how do you think The Doctor will save Merlin, Arthur and Camelot?

Yes, but there are some differences between the original Camelot and this new one!---the age-difference between Merlin & Arthur, Arthur's level-of-royalty before Excalibur made him King, how Arthur is related to Morgana ...
The Doctor can fix that, but I wanna know how!
