Lots of custom orders

It seems that no one wants to purchase anything "as is" in my etsy shop anymore. While I don't mind doing custom orders, it sure would be nice to just sell what has already been stitched. I'm spending a lot of time in "negotiations" with people too. If you are a crafter, are you finding this is the case for you too?
