Hi,
I would like to ask a question towards all myloters? Do you wash cloths after every use? I personally says that I may make some damages to our costly cloths. What is your opinion, do you wash regularly?
Also there will be infection if we are using cloths with out washing for days.
How do you feel the work washing your clothes? Do you apply any trick to get rid dirts from the clothes easily ?
What are those tricks ?

Hi Wonderboy
It depends on clothes.. I mean if it is t shirts and shirts then I don't use it another time, as mostly it got sweaty and surely it can't be wear another time. I used to wear jeans 2 or 3 days depending on it condition.. So mostly i decided as per condition of the clothes.. Surely washing them frequently it will reduce their life.

The undies - yes, they do need to be washed after every use. And for pants, shorts, shirts and tees... I cannot afford them washed after every single use - My health doesnt allow me to wash them everyday. And also I dont sweat anytime

My illness left me unemployed, dont earn much regularly. Whatever I earn, most of it goes on my medicines. So in short, we cannot afford one right now - because of - finance and also if we manage to get one, it would need space and we dont have that either.

If your health don't allow you to do it then why can't you make use of a washing machine ? Don't you have such an appliance in your home ?

I do wash our undies immediately after every use, i got that as a habit now, i do that for my kids and my husband too... as for clothes, i do not have the time so i make a schedule for that, every Saturday...
i would soak the whites during friday night and wash it on Saturday, i use bleach for it too to make it whiter.

I had seen many people soaking their clothes for hours in water. I wonder why do we do this ? Don't the clothes lost it's quality and it's color when we soak them ?
There are many powerful detergents around us to remove all the dirt with easy efforts. Don't you make use of those detergents ?

It is right when you soak clothes in pure water for a while before washing by using detergent. Clothes will be clean faster. You can try thewonderboy, if you wash clothes by hand. however, you have to make sure, don't put color and white clothes in the same basin, because white clothes may take another color from color clothes.

Of course I do.
Usually when it is summer everyone in the family changed clothes 3-5 times a day.
Sometimes more than that due to hot weather and constant sweating.
We don't have the habit of using used clothes.
Besides, that is unhygienic to wear the used cloth.
I soak white clothes with bleaching chemicals to removed stains before washing.

I don't used to change the dresses three or more times a day even if it is sweating or something else. On those days I just used to remove my shirts and used to wear loose clothes. So that I don't feel much hot and I feel a great relief from it.
How do you mange to wash those clothes on those days ?

I just used to wash my dress on most of the days with my hands and still now detergents did not show any false alarm on my hands. May it showed alarm on your hands because it cannot adjust with your body. Try another one. May it will stick with you.

It depends on. If it is in summer, of course I will wash the clothes after I wear it. However, if it is in winter, I will wash it after I wear it for several times, especially for the coats. I don't think the laundry is a hard work, since the washing machine will do everything automatically.
I love China

Now we have a very rainy days and we are not able to wash our dress properly on these days. So I am just making use of the washing machines to do the task quite easily. The problem is that the bill is getting increased on these days. Can you suggest me some tricks for washing my clothes easily with my soft hands?

No tricks, I just throw my clothes in the washer and wash. Or, I hand-wash some more delicate clothes.
Now, whether or not I wash my clothes every time I wear them, it depends on how they need washing, how long I wore them, what the temperature is like, what I did in them, things like that. If the clothes need to be dry cleaned, I wear them only as long as I have to, then change clothes so that I don't have to get them cleaned each time. Some clothes, like jeans, I might wear twice before washing, as long as I haven't done any hard or dirty work in them and it wasn't a hot day where I was perspiring a lot. Underwear gets washed every time, though. That's one thing I won't skimp on.

I had seen people near my house just giving the clothes to some people to wash as well as iron the clothes for money. I think they are just wasting the money for doing this simple task. Don't you think it is just a waste of money ? Do you ever spent the money for cleaning your clothes ?

No. Since I am working, I have someone who does the laundry for the whole family. She's washing our clothes every other day. I think we cannot easily catch infection with unwashed clothes for days unless you work in an infected place. You can separate those clothes from others and wash them separately. Also it is very good to sun dry the clothes after washing because the heat can help kill the germs.

Yes you are right. The drying the clothes under sun's heat can really kill all the germs from your clothes and I mostly just used to dry my clothes by putting them under sun but I cannot do them on now becuase it is very rainy now and we do not have proper sun.
What do you do when there comes rainy days ?

I wash underwear every after use too. For clothes like
tops, or shirts, or tanks, I wash them also every after use.
The only clothes that I don't wash every after use are the jeans
and jean shorts. I usually wear my jeans up to 5 uses before I
wash them because I don't want to ruin them.

I just used to wash my clothes according to my works. Sometimes I need to work a lot in some days. During those days I will be sweating and the clothes have a false smell. So I just used to put my dresses on my washing machines if I have a well tiring works. It doesn't matter whether it is jeans or shirt.
Don't your jeans get false smell when you don't wash them for days ?

I always always wash my underwear after every use. But then just tend to put one or two other items in the laundry per day. It would be too costly to wash every item every time I wear it as that'd be 2 lots of outfits most days, just for myself. It would be too costly in water, electric and extra clothes!

I do wash clothes after every use. I follow the instructions on the tags for one. I have ruined clothes before when I was younger because I didn't read that tag. Reading the tag before I buy it is something I think is important too. I don't want to end up with a closet full of clothes that require me to hand wash everything..lol.
There are also several tricks that I have learned about stains. Peroxide is one of the ways that I remove certain stains. There are times when I take concentrated washing detergent and rub it directly into the stain. I will let it sit like that for about an hour then wash normal. Soaking clothes for a little while can also help get out a stain. The key is that you have to do this stuff BEFORE you wash and dry the clothes for the first time. If not, the stain is pretty well set in there.

Well, in my case, I simply choose the clothes that I wear every day. After washing (and to say this, I am almost ashamed!), My mother thinks that obviously uses the washing machine.
I would hardly wear a suit more than two consecutive days, except for the underwear that I change them regularly everyday!
Not being very knowledgeable on the subject, I could not tell if our finest clothes get ruined if washed too often, but from my point of view, my answer is YES.

thewonderboy:
It depends on the place where we live in. If we live in a place like Chennai we cannot wear the same dress for two days. In case we live in cooler places we can use the same clothes for two days and wash after this.
Costly clothes are worn for a few hours in a day only and kept intact to be use reused again. they should not be washed quite often. they may lose the charm.
