I installed the latest version of Windows 8 a few weeks ago, it's fast and after a few hours of use, you can easily manage it like older versions of Windows. For now it's a bit unstable, I had to restart a few times, and one day I could not open any games so I put Win7 back. I guess they will fix the bugs by the normal versions, so I think I will change to Win8, as it's faster and has some great features, like the task manager now shows more details. Removing the Start button and not allowing to put it back was for marketing purposes to use Microsoft's now layout and it's market, it was really not nice from that, but we know... money talks...

I have seen previews and read articles regarding this upcoming Operating System and although I am just as excited as some, I am also as hesitant as others for many reasons. Windows 7 is still fresh and I believe it still has room for development and it suits desktops and laptops more. While Windows 8 offer variety of fresh experience, it could only be enjoyed and appreciated much on selected platforms such as tablets and touchscreen PCs. My only desire to test windows 8 would be regarding it's performance on the new AMD processors as many rumors have been saying that windows 8 will make it perform better. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think I'll stick with Windows 7. I see Windows 7 as the last in line with the classic Windows GUI. With Windows 8, I'm going to have to use a start button that uses typography. I think it's rather useless, because the start button in Windows 7 is suitable for me. Sure, I like typography, but not in interactive environments; instead, I like typography in designs.
