I like to study programming languages as a hobby, and I studied a bit of Smalltalk this past semester as part of a college course. It seems like a really simple and powerful object-oriented language, sorta like Ruby before there was Ruby, and its full reflective nature looked really interesting.
I was wondering if there were any programmers here that used Smalltalk and could share their experiences.
Also, I was wondering about the language's relation to Objective-C. How much better off programming in Objective-C are you if you know Smalltalk?

Am good at programming but in my first step to know a lot about it. I'd like to learn it and know more about programming languages.

Hi there swordsdann..
Good to know there's another OOP like SmallTalk.. Guess I have to learn it sooner.. I don't really have any experiences with Objective-C since most of the programming languages I know are for standalone and website applications like Java, C#, PHP and the like. Actually, even though we have lots of programming languages, they're all the same, they just differ in syntax and few design stuff. Have a nice day!
