His shirt was full of blood stains…

Yesterday night I was driving on the high way, there was a tall man standing beside the walk way, whose body was full of blood stains and asking for lift. My mind wandered where would that blood stains had come from. I just informed the police officer at next check post. Today morning I checked the newspapers whether there is any news. I had not seen any accidents near to him, has he killed anyone, nor I not willing to go to police station to inform this as it could be a mess, or is it just a prank, do not know….I hope to leave it….

wow, that's pretty creepy. I definitely wouldn't have picked him up. It was probably a good thing you called the police, especially since you didn't know why the guy had all those stains. Maybe if you keep checking the papers they'll put a story about him if whatever happened to him was serious.

Hmmm.. Perhaps it was just rust stains? or mud stains? Anyhow, it's good that you didn't stop. I too would have not stopped to ask around. Yeah, we're called to help each other but that's just crazy when it's night and someone obviously has something not good. It was good that you informed the police though, I sure hope that it wasn't something very horrific! Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Oh wow I would have been so scared. I am glad that you called the police. I hope that he didnt kill anyone or do anything bad but I am glad that you didnt give him a ride regardless. I am sure if you had found out that this man had been picked up for murder you would have come back and posted about it.

Anyone wanted to be safe in helping others, and having blood stained shirt is really a big question, what if he was a killer and you gave him a lift? You will also be charged as connivance of the crime. Calling or informing the policemen of the situation of that man was the best thing you had chosen.

Being a good Samaritan these days is not the best of things to do,with a lot of con men roaming around. It is always better to let the police know of anything untoward happening around the place you travel.

As long as you told a police officer that is the main thing. I wouldn't have stopped you don't know what that mans been doing. Is it his blood? Did he kill a person or animal? Was he trying to help someone and got the blood on him? You just don't know, I think you did the right thing!
