I have always thought it would be a pleasure to swim with the dolphins. Have any of you had this experience? How was it? Dolphins are such beautiful creatures, it would be a blast to get to swim with them. I can't swim, so that would be the first obstical.

I've been swimming with dolphins. It was lots of fun, but dolphins are actually a bit scarier than you can imagine! They're like 75% muscle, so when one is swimming towards you it's like there's a huge wall coming at you! lol They're very playful, and it's amazing to share the same water space as them. But while you're treading water, be careful not to kick them! You'll break all your toes (and the dolphin will be fine. lol).

They are hard as rocks I guess. I have never actually seen one. I have heard that they can kill a shark with no problems.

Oh yeah. They just smash them in the gills until the shark surrenders.

Their beaks are so strong, and they move so fast. They must feel like king of the ocean.

Dolphins are friendly water creature but although I have watched dolphin shows I never really had the chance to swim with them. In the first place I don't know how to swim but I can always ride on their back or can always stay in the shallow part and play with the dolphins if opportunity will allow me. That will be a real exciting experience.

So you too do not know how to swim. Do you think the dolphins could carry us on their back? I'm afraid they would take us into the deep and there we just might get drowned. Or perhaps the Dolphin will save us because they really are friendly animals. Hahaha! What a colorful imagination I have in my mind right now.

I went on a swimming with wild dolphins trip on Christmas Day 2001 in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. I had to go into a net then get in the sea with the dolphins. It was an amazing day and a once in a lifetime experience. I have been on a dolphin watching trip in New Zealand's southern island. It was awesome to those dolphins. I fed a wild dolphin at Monkey Mai in Western Australia. Good luck with achieving your dream of swimming with wild dolphins.

This sounds like a wild adventure. That is great. I know it is not too late to learn.

I would like to learn as well, but It would be expensive for a privet tutor, as I don't want to be embarrassed learning along with a bunch of little kids and being laughed at.

I have always wanted to do this too but never had the chance yet. I hope one day I will be able to. I love dolphins, I collect so many dolphin things. I would absolutely love to be able to swim with them...

My husband had a friend who use to be obsessed with them, and one day she got to swim with some, and it brought such joy to her.
