You might be dealing with inflammation.
If I were in your shoes...
I would take aspirin.
The reason I would take aspirin is because it's an anti-inflammatory, it will thin your blood to speed up your healing process and it will dull the pain.
Hang in there and have a great day!

It's also important to drink a lot of water to flush lactic acid.

Hey Shansavy, its been a while. Hope you are fine. Anyway,, I used to go to the gym a lot and I can remember the first couple of times i went. When I got home, my muscles pained my so badly it wasn't even funny. believe it or not i couldn't even flex my elbow joint. Every time I wanted to extend my hand i had to ask my dad to do it for me. I wanted to cry and was about to give up, but my dad looked at me and said if muscle building was easy, every body would have done it. He said the pain will go away soon and i should just bare it, and still go back to gym even when the pain was there. So i followed his advice and went back. And couple days after the pain reduced and I got so used to it. My body started developing too. And I was so happy. Sometimes the pain is there to signify that you really did a good job, and going back there might also make things better. well that is what I think from personal experience.

Hello Shansavy. Is it your first? Maybe you overdo it. Stretching gently is important for both preventing the spasm from occurring as well as relieving an existing spasm. Apply heat to the affected area on the neck. A heating pad also works but moist heat is the ideal option. A hot bath or shower can improve blood circulation, helping the constricted muscles relax and preventing spasms. A hot shower before exercise will warm up the muscles; since tight muscles can lead to injury and spasms it is best to keep the blood circulating to prevent the muscles from constricting. If have some time and extra get a massage. A good massage works out the knots, increases circulation, and may provide temporary or permanent relief. Hope this could help.

I remember when I was still in college. I was under a scholarship program that had implemented a semi-military training. Before that I had no regular exercise routine, when I entered I was around 70kg. During my first day, we were given a exercise routine, I couldn't keep up so I rested every once in a while, then in some parts of the day we had other physical activities. The next day we had the same exercise and I couldn't even raise my arms for stretching. My whole body was sore and even a little movement gives off pain. I preferred standing than lying down on my bed. it was not a good experience at all. but I don't remember clearly when but, after doing the same exercise routine everyday my body just got used to it and the pain went away just naturally. I pushed myself everyday back then and before I knew it, no more pain. I lost about 10kg back then and maintained it for about a year or two. but Now, I am 78kg and I can't do the exercise routine anymore, when I tried to do the routine, the next day my body would be so sore that I don't want to do it on consecutive days :D
and I don't remember taking medicine for muscle pain before. but maybe the next time I will.

you need to take a massage and relax. May be hot water bottle can be helpful. Don't stress much or your problem may increase.
