home alone for the holiday

So this afternoon everyone went off to do thier own thing for the holiday which is fine they invited me but I was like 
I have the house to myself and that rarely happens. So I cleaned my room, took the dogs out for a walk, played with my cat, did some laundry and played some games on the computer. Then I got hungry so I cooked myself some beans and hotdogs and realized 
I haven't eaten alone in years!

Im with you on that one! I love to have time to myself and just do what i want to do! Sure it is a day where most want to be out celebrating the holiday, but Im one of those people that if there is a chance for me to have alone time.. Im going to take it!! Good on ya! Im sure tomorrow you will be refreshed and bright eyed and bushy tailed.. Ready to take on your next endeavor.

I'm used to living in an area that in which it's much too hot to BBQ in the summer, cher913! We usually just grill out in the summer but we have a great BBQ in the Fall when we BBQ a hog and our friends and family from all around show up for a taste!

I used to be alone in the house sometimes especially when all of them has somewhere to go.I enjoy it cause I might have time for myself without any disturbances at all.

Sounds like you made the best of your time along. I bet that your dogs and cat enjoyed their time with you. Plus, you got to have some time away from your annoying son-in-law.
Mrs. Turner and I spent the day together with our dog. Around 10 o'clock in the evening we sat on the front porch and watched the fireworks.

Hi friend, good to know about your holiday activities, i think you enjoyed a lot with your self cooking activities, really you did a lot of things in your holiday by cleaning, cooking, playing and so on.

Lol, that is some kind of new experience that you must at least try once in your whole life, doing things alone, cooking alone, eating alone, sleeping alone etc. As for me, I am studying aboard, so I am doing them everyday and I am kind of used to it already. However, sometimes I do feel sad for being alone, after all, all human beings are not born for being left alone in this world. When this sentiment comes to me, then I will just pick up my phone and give a call to my friends or family to catch up a bit.
