One can't underestimate the power of a good alarm clock. This is what starts off most of our mornings, the beautiful (more like annoying) sound of beeping. This wakens us, so we can get ready for work or school. We can eat our breakfast, or take our showers, or whatever it is we do to get ready for our day. If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, it can often effect the rest of your day, and in turn, others days as well. It is important to have an alarm that will wake you up, and not allow you to sleep in and be late for work or school. Does your alarm clock do the trick? Or do you hit the snooze button too much?

Alarm clock? I hope you are talking about the musical kind. Whoever decided some shrill beeping which cuts right through your dozy mind at 7/8am was a good idea needs some new ideas. I set about 8 alarms on my iphone with about 6 of them being some of my favourite songs. If I need to get up for something I take my Bose radio and set the station to come on at full blast at the desired time. Nothing like a morning radio presenter banging out some tunes to wake up to.

Because something to wake you up isn't suppose to be pleasant, or you may go back to sleep. Annoying and forces you to wake up is the whole point. How often do you hear tornado warning with the sweet sounds of Metallica or something.

I agree that the radio works just as good, but that was the idea behind the annoying alarm.

I'd rather 'I believe I can fly' to warn me about Tornados. No reason why a radio presenter at full volume saying good morning and shooting the breeze wouldn't do the job as well as an annoying beep. I am less likely to stick the music on snooze as well, whereas with the beep I just switch it off and forget it ever went off.

i actually have my alarm set to my local jazz station which wakes me up in the morning. i actually have the radio placed across the room so i have to get up to turn it off or snooze it. i still do snooze it and fall back to sleep but i usually get up on time (which is why i have my alarm set earlier!)

I am having a bad habit to ignore the first alarm and just press the snooze button. I usually stand up on it's 3rd alarm. But it is ok since I usually set the alarm earlier than the time I expected to wake up. Alarm clock is very important. I also used more than 1 alarm clock sometimes.

Hi! My alarm clock is my mobile phone! I change the alarm sound very often because I get used to it and it becomes part of my dream, so I might not wake up! Alterativeli I set the radio to start at my waking time which usually wakes me up more pleasantly. Generally, I use songs as my alarm ringtones and not the beep/ring sound and I put 3-4 alarms every morning for safety.
I was always jealous (in a good way) of the people that wake up without an alarm and they are always on time. Their biological clock must work very well :)
I wish I could be like this, it must be very satisfying!

I absolutely must have an alarm clock every morning. My body's biological clock is terrible and I can't never rely on it..hahaha. I have to set an alarm every morning because my whole family relies on me to wake them up of their biological clock is late. And so if everyone's late and I have no alarm set...everyone would be late for whatever they are suppose to do. And so far..the best alarm clock I've ever own I'd probably my iPod.

Hi friend, you are right, alarm is important for us, most of us will set the alarm time when required and it help us to get up early and start our day in a good manner. I never think alarm as an annoying one. it is always an useful thing
