Our hottest day here has been maybe 96-98 a couple of weeks ago. We aren't in three digit weather yet. I feel fortunate cause that is just hot enough for me. I have heard on the news that 22 people have died from the heat. Dehydration is such a scarey thing. Drink up. Lemonade, tea, water, Gatorade. How is your weather? Reached the three digits yet? Happy fourth.

Hi friend, sorry to hear that 22 people lost their life due to the weather, it shows how you are suffering with the hot weather. Here is rainy season now, but the rain is not yet properly started, we too have heavy sun in the noon times. We are taking cool stuff to reduce the heat of the sun

Rain. Now you are talking. I love the fresh air after a good rain. THe smell of the earth. And the temperature drops. Now we're talking.

It seems to the rainy season all year in England we may get a few good days or dry days then the rain starts again. We are in the south East of England and we are quite lucky.Further up the country in the south west or north it has been terrible one months rain fell in one day, everyone in those areas seemed to get their homes flooded and roads blocked with water and rivers breaking their banks awful.

I also from India and thinks that climate is very hot here in India during summer. I also like lemon juices very much, but the cost gets very high during the summertime.

it was 105 with the humidity two weeks ago and that just killed me. It is okay today though. The heat just keeps me down for weeks at a time.

Yep, unfortunately, we've had many triple digit days this year already. Today, not so bad at 97 but with the heat index it was up to 106. This is waaaaaaaaaaaay too hot for me! My car broke down on Sunday, 110 miles from my home. I sat in that car, in that heat, for two hours while waiting for a ride home. I was sick that night. The next day I had to go back to pick up my car and tow it home (a four hour round trip). That wasn't so bad but I had to be out in that heat for awhile while picking up my car and after we got it home. Last night I started coming down with a cold, a bad one. Today, I'm really feeling the effects of the past three days. I cannot handle heat like I used to. I'm very worried about what the rest of the summer will bring since it has been so terribly hot already. I live in Virginia where we got that really bad storm (they're calling a "derecho") that blasted through the mid-Atlantic region and there are STILL homes without electricity. I saw trees snapped in half, some uprooted, power lines down, cars smashed, houses destroyed, it was bad! We were lucky in that we kept our electricity (for the most part) and only lost Comcast cable tv and internet for one day. Still, going in and out of this heat has really done a number on my poor old body! No celebrations for me today except what I see on TV. I'm glad it hasn't been AS hot there where you are and hope it doesn't get any hotter. We really need to cool down some all across the country. Oh, and don't worry, I'm staying plenty hydrated. I always have something nearby to sip on.

I would just lay down and die. Car problems in the heat. How awful. I hope you were able to drink alot of water during all this being out in the heat. Dehydration is serious business. I don't like colds. THey seem to happen during some fun event when there are all kinds of food to be tasted and such. SOrry to hear of your cold. We had a power outage here and it was hot. I wanted to kiss my fan when it came back on. I feel for those who have been without power for days. Sounds like you were lucky. Only out on eday. I am only celebrating on the tv also. Glad to hear you are sippin'.

It is about 70 or just below in England with all the cloud it is really muggy and heavy.Raining at moment just for a change (Joke. It always seems to be raining here some areas are flooded it is awful. You see them on the tv mopping up their homes, everything ruined. There was one woman who had not settled her insurance claim from the last time she was flooded. She had only been back in her house six weeks. There she was again knee deep in water all her new furniture floating around her front room all her newly decorated house damp and dirty again.Poor woman.I do hope you are coping with the heat it is no joke. All those fires and people dying from the heat.It is strange how the weather is changing so fast one day we are so hot and the next day the temperature drops and it is pouring hard again.Like I say rain is so boring .

I hate it when it gets muggy. Furniture floating doesn't seem right does it? Newly decorated. I just can't imagine how a person would feel after all of that. Coping with the heat is for me sleeping alot of the time until later when it cools off. I feel badly for those who can't do that.

I live in a tropical country, sometimes it rain hard, sometimes it's so humid and I can't bear it any longer. Perspiration really bothers me a lot. I drink a lot of fluid also. Oh, it rain hard the other day though, so that makes it less hotter. Happy Fourth there

I think it is good to take as much water as possible. Here also when the weather is hot, I try to have lemonade and other juices. I like having lemonade or lemon juice. I think it is good to take couple of more baths during the summer time. I think summer are too hot and need to have rain sometimes to get cold climate during summer time. Now it is rainy season.

We have had four days with 100 plus temperatures, including one day that went up to 106 degrees. But like always, the humdiity is what makes it so unbearable. I'm drinking water like nobody's business, and I try to stay indoors as much as possible. I'm prone to heat headaches. The news has asked everyone to check on the elderly to make sure they are okay.

WIth all the foreigners around here now we don't have the fireworks we used to which is nice. I am glad we aren't in the three digits yet either. I went out in a bit yesterday and was just miserable. No thanks! Leave me in my room.

That is hot .We have been watching the heat reports on our tv in england. We see people going to shopping centres and librarys to get cool. There was one man with his kids in a shopping centre at a cafe table ,he had taken a battery dvd player his kids were watching a film ,drinking cold drinks. The father told the reporter his electric had gone, his aircon stopped.Just to hot to stay at home. That is just alien to us in this country staying warm is out biggest problem. If it gets to 75 we start to panick checking on elderly neibours ect.I could not imagine living in that heat.Do drink plenty of water and cold drinks.People dying from the heat is just beyond belief.Take care hope it cools down a bit.

We reached 105 last weekend. The rest of the time it has been in the 90s. We had some power outages here over that weekend too from the heat. That is definitely a first for this area. The humidity makes it tougher. We actually broke records with those temps. Hydration is definitely key. Hope you had a great 4th!

We had an outage on Monday and it lasted about an hour. It was enough for me to feel very sorry for the poor folks who have had none for weeks now. I don't envy you folks down south at all. Had a nice 4th. Hope you did as well.

We have had several triple digit days. I tend to come home from work and just stay inside and stay very still. Not healthy really, I need to move more. I work in air conditioning and I have a/c in my car, but I go in to work before sunrise so I do not need it then. All kinds of temperature records have been broken already, and it is only July

I stay inside also. I don't go out except when we have to go somewhere or just open the window in the evening after it cools off. If I didn't have a/c in my car I probably wouldn't go anywhere. If we have to shop or do anything like that I try to make it up and out before noon so it isn't too hot yet. Even not being in the triple digits yet. I know it will be this month and next. Ugh! Where is my pool and cabana when I need it??!! Happy fourth.

Where I live we are experiencing temps in the high 90's! Tomorrow and friday the temps could hit the three digit mark! It is very hot and humid here! I work in a kitchen,as you probaly know, and it gets over a 100 degrees in there! We aren't air conditioned. The ventilation sucks and even with alot of fans going it is hard to not feel hot when the stove and ovens on! I tried to drink alot of water today at work but it didn't help! I got dizzy! I sat in the air condition of an office which one supervisor has. It helped and feeled up with liquid. I still didn't feel like working! So I went home early! Lukily I have an air conditioner! Hopefully I will be able to withstand the heat at work tomorrow! We will see!

Its getting up into the 90's now here too. I am sure July and August are going to horrid. I can only imagine what it will be like in other locals. I couldn't stand to work in a kitchen. I think I would going in the bathroom constantly and using cold towels. I don't envy you at all. I would come home and turn on the airconditiioning and set infront of for atleast an hour. Good luck tomorrow!

Happy Fourth of July! I have not seen any three digits here thank goodness, thank goodness. That is so dangerously high to bear. I have been drinking as much water and such as I can, I usually drink enough liquids all year around but I know how important it is during the summer months especially. Its' so sad that there have been deaths already this summer due to the heat, I hate to hear those bad reports. Also people can be so careless to leave their pets and such in the car too. I hope this isn't a sign that the rest of the summer will be all hot and terrible.

Happy fourth right back at ya! Glad to hear you drink plenty of liquids. I hate to hear of reports of deaths of anything that can be corrected. That just makes me sick. In most areas the authorities can break windows of vehicles if they find animals or kids(God forbid)in them. Hot and terrible. I hope not too!
