strange dreams and nightmares

I have allways had strange dreams and nightmares. Latley all of them involve my daughters boyfriend in some way and the past couple of nights I woke up screaming his name. last night I dreamed that he was taking apart the furnature and I was yelling at him and telling him to put he furnature back together and this is where I want it, strangly I did not see my daughter in the dream but suddenly felt a ghostly presence in the room and felt my legs getting grabbed then the gohst said leave him alone or I will kill you and pulled me across the floor. I woke up screaming for him to help. I have not usually had dreams that involve people close to me. I wonder what it means if anything at all.
