I only expect calls on Sundays from my boyfriend who's in boot camp right now. Well, I happened to look down at my phone in the cupholder of my car and the screen was lit up with a missed call and voicemail from him!! I freaked out and called him back but he wasn't picking up. I called his mom and she had just talked to him. I was about to cry because I missed one of the few times he could call. I eventually got a hold of him and I was so relieved.
We were able to talk half an hour!! It really made my 4th of July being able to talk to my soldier. Things felt the same between us and we talked just how we used to. It made me feel so good and I was extremely happy when I got off the phone. I still bug him about his surprise and he said it's a big question that he can't ask over the phone and he has to save up money. I'm definitely thinking he's going to ask me to marry him when he comes home in October.
So after figuring that out and just being able to talk to him, I felt amazing. Earlier today I was feeling really down and sad about him being away but that call turned everything around. It's amazing how hearing his voice can make me feel so much better

Thank you :) Yesterday I was feeling even more proud of him since it was the 4th. I was pretty sad in the morning because I kept thinking about him but that call later on made me feel so much better. Only 3 more weeks until I see him graduate :)

Awww that's so sweet.
I remember when a guy I really liked was in boot camp, then went to Germany. The highlights of the year were when we could skype or he'd come home for a visit. I'm happy you got to talk to your soldier. I think you're right about the popping of "the question" btw...good luck ;D

That call definitely turned my whole day around. He's been hinting at his surprise and question ever since his first letter while he's been in boot camp. I'm excited when I can finally find out for sure what it's going to be :)

Ouch! That's really a life of soldier, my friend. They should obey first before they complain. But don't worry about your soldier, he will always be safe and pray for him to come back safely...
