Facebook, is it Good or Bad?

i use facebook right now but i don't connect to facebook regularly...it is a way for me to keep in touch with friends and see what is going with them...I think using facebook is not harmful, you can have 1 account to keep in touch with your friends.

Usage of a technology all depends on the user. If a person decides to use it for something productive then it's good, but for something destructive then it's definitely bad. A knife can be used to kill but it can also be used to cut meat and vegetables to be cooked and eaten. This is just a basic example of what I have stated earlier. We must take responsibility for our actions, so we must make sure that we strive to do what we know or deem good.

It all depends on how you would use your FB. If you will use it to share things not worth sharing or posting things you should rather keep to yourself then this is bad. If you use FB to malign or disrespect the privacy of others it is bad. But if you use FB for friendship, and sharing good, useful things to others then it is good. Choose between the good and the bad, the decision is yours.

Hello Joan, Facebook is a good social site. It help in communicating with people.Moreover you can increase your online earnings through Facebook.But it all depends how you use it. Yes there are people who misuses it and get feeling in others that FB is not good.

When there is good there is evil. People use facebook, both fOr good and for evil deeds all the time. I agree with you that it really depends on the user, but we can't control other people, so these things happen even if we like it or not. All we can do is try to help the community in facebook to have more of the positive than of the negative things.

Well, it depends on the user. Facebook is a socializing platform that allow us to meet with new people and get to know more about them. If you know how to to use it correctly, you will be able to learn a lot of new things in different areas. Some people, on the other hand will just spend their time to stalk other people. Some will even send those harassing messages to their crushes to ask for 1 night stand etc. However, if you do have that kind of problem, you can always report it to admin and block that user from seeing your profile. You also have the right to control the information that you wish to share with your friends. You can put your profile to private or public as you wish. In conclusion, I don't think that facebook is a bad website, since it helps us to connect with other people, but it is just simply abused by some irresponsible persons.

Facebook can cause you problems regarding your information getting into the wrongs hands, if you don't set your privacy settings correctly or you just share information which you are not tend to. If you learn the simple step to protect your data from unknown persons, facebook it fine. Sometimes facebook does some changes to their system that might cause you information to get in others hand, but who cares, if you haven't shared anything that you would want to hide?

Yes it is good as it connect us with all other , but some time it is a waste of time so using it for a limited time is very necessary .

Hi Joan, For me it's neither good or bad. It's only a social network, bad or good things that happen there only depends on the users. The user's have the option to control their profile or privacy, it's always up to them who they choose as friends or who they connect with. They are suppose to be the one to decide how much time they spend FBing, being addicted is only an excuse. It also depends on how decipline you are towards networking. Have a good day:)

For me Facebook is neither bad nor good. It all depends on the user, on how he uses this particular social networking site. If his reasons for joining is good or bad, helpful or not. That is what I think.

Using Facebook can neither be good or bad. If your intention of using this kind of media is to meet your old friends, make new friends and inspiring others through posting motivational quotes and positive comments in this web then that's GOOD. But if you allow yourself to use Facebook in your evil invasions like giving revenge to a friend, posting hurtful messages without having second thoughts or you plan to deceit anybody and use this as a mode of human trafficking, kidnapping or anything else that will be a very BAD idea.
