dot com or dot net?

most famous websites use dot com and not dot net as web addresses. But i think when someone already got he dot net adess and then you are only left with a choice of opting for other addresses... Such as dot net amongst others. Dot net ismuch cheaper though...

Dot com is perfect for our site as all uses it and it is easy to remember also .

Usually I would prefer .com to .net. If the domain name is taken, I will try to think of another until I find one. If all is exhausted, then I will have no choice but to use the next best available prefix which is .net.

If you can get a deal on both go for both. But typically as for what i think sounds better in my head, it all comes down to the rest of the web site and what they do. Not all sites sound right to me with their .net name, just as not all sound right with their .com name.

You should buy both .com and .net, if you find .net sounds better with your domain name. You need .com too as most of the users just automatically puts .com after your site's name. You can redirect your domain to your net one to make it more popular. If .com sounds better, just have .com and it's perfectly enough.

I think it is better if you use dot com because a lot of people normally use dot com. Your website will also be remembered easily. When i type a website, I usually type dot com even though the domain is different. I think this is because I am so used to the dot com. But if you want to be unique, then maybe you should use the dot net. But for practicality, I strongly suggest you use the dot com.

Each domain name is dedicated to different purpose.if your content is intended to all and if you go for worldwide audience you should select .com domain.It makes search engine to quickly look in the .com domain.
