I jsut found out this site where they give discounts to some services and items. I was shocked because of the big discounts they are offering. I thought it was a scam but it isn't. I heard good and bad stories but I want to give it a try. They are going to send the voucher thru my email. In this case, I can use my mylot earnings without bothering myself to open a bank account to withdraw my earnings. What do you think? he he he

How do you know that it isn't a scam. Anyway, it would be nice if you share the site with us so that we may at least see and decide for ourselves, and I'm sure many other users would want to enjoy these services they offer. Have fun shopping then and good luck!

Unfortunately, I live in a small city and there aren't that much known establishments here so I doubt that I will find any service or promo available locally and specifically to a store located here, but I might still check it out just to see the things I'm missing. Anyway, thank you for this suggestions.

The offers are mostly by Metro Manila establishments, but there are also travel packages that you can avail of. You might want to check out the all-in packages for local tourist destinations, and even overseas. Some are still quite pricey, but some are really, really good.

Yes! I checked Ensogo! And I just availed 2 whole Chicken for 100 pesos! I will claim it this Friday or maybe tomorrow. I will have a good meal I guess. LOL! I have never tried the other sites but thanks for letting me know. They are really cheap. But I don't want to risk to expensive ones.

I guess tess_quinain is talking about the online deals websites in the Philippines, and we have quite a lot of them. However, the establishments featured are local, so fellow mylotters from other countries won't be able to benefit from them. The site offers vouchers for various products and services that are very, very low compared to their usual prices. One such site is called Ensogo, but is available only in a few Asian countries. You must be able to purchase a voucher within the site's given timeframe. There is also a timeframe in which you will be able to use the voucher. Yes, Tess, these sites are legit, and I am a customer. However, before purchasing a voucher, it would be good to first call the establishment being featured to ask them if they really have such an offer. Once confirmed, purchase your vouchers and enjoy the discounts. I have twice purchased restaurant vouchers and was able to have awesome meals at a really low price. I am in the events coordination business, and I helped one of my clients avail of a Photobooth service for a mere Php2000 ($49) when regular Photobooth services start at more than double that amount. I also have availed of salon services and have given the vouchers away as presents last Christmas. At a local salon I got my aunt a footspa, hand paraffin wax, foot massage, manicure, and pedicure for only Php300 ($7.30) So much win! I do have some bad experiences as well. I have experienced not being able to use my vouchers before their expiration date. Last December, after the Christmas bonuses an all that, I purchased quite a lot of vouchers and wan't able to keep track of when I should use them. Also, I have one experience wherein the establishment that I bought a voucher for suddenly disappeared! It was a salon (the same salon where my aunt got her pampering) but after a couple of months, they closed shop! I was able to track them, good thing, and they're opening a new salon in a cheaper location, and when they open, I can use my voucher.

I haven't tried Metrodeal, but have bought vouchers from Ensogo, Cash Cash Pinoy, Groupon, and Gupo. Just last week I had a Diamond Peel with Facial---a service that originally cost Php1250. The voucher cost me Php250 and I got excellent service. I couldn't stop caressing my cheek afterwards. :-) Last Christmas, the presents I gave away were vouchers for facial treatments, massages, restaurants, and others. These establishments offer these cheap vouchers to be more well-known, and in the hopes of having repeat customers. Like that diamond peel, for instance. It was my first time to have the treatment done, and it was so awesome I would like to go back there and pay the original price to have the treatment again, maybe at the end of the year.

really??? Unfortunately, I have just known these vouchers just last week. If I have known this earlier, probably I would have availed that diamond peel you are talking about. Well, I will try skin whitening facial next week I hope I will have good experience just like yours.

Hi katcarneo. Yes, you're right. This explains everything! But I have no experience yet so I wanted to give it a try for a cheaper cost only. It's only in the Philippines. But I guess there are many sites for other countries just like this one. I'm talking about metrodeal. he he. I will search more sites.

hi tess. how have you been? hope all is well with you. i signed up for a number of online shopping sites as well. i started two discussions about my experience so far with these sites here in mylot. here are the links, http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2657147.aspx and http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2672673.aspx. i agree that the discounts that these sites offer are really big plus the products and services that are available through them are very varied. anyway, do remember to read the guidelines and terms and conditions of the items that you will be purchasing. take note of the expiry dates and the limitations. most of the services like spas and massages ask that you make a reservation before dropping by their place. anyway, so far, i'm happy with the items that i got. one deal that i purchase didn't push through but the site credited my account with the amount charged to my credit card so that works for me. it was delayed though and i had to contact them repeatedly to get my credit. by the way, i've signed up to metrodeal, groupon, cashcash pinoy, dealstent, and dealamigos. good luck in your online shopping site adventures tess. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

hi tess. there are some sites that accept other modes of payment aside from credit cards. i recall, one can pay through partner establishments such as 7-11 and commercial banks. one of the vouchers i got, i paid through 7-11. as for getting a credit card, that in itself merits a separate discussions. there are pros in getting a credit card but one has to have the discipline and money management skills so as not to get into unnecessary debt. cheers and happy mylotting!!!
