Reuniting after 15 years...

I had a best friend in high school and we had a big falling out. It was heartbreaking, but as teenagers do, we both moved on. I will admit that the falling out was mostly my doing although I wasn't being malicious at the time. Anyway, for whatever reason, almost 15 years later her name floated across my desk and I debated for days about contacting her. I wasn't sure she would be all that happy to hear from me and I wouldn't have blamed her. She was so excited and wrote back almost immediately via email.
That was a few years ago and we have now become dearest of friends again. It is amazing having her back in my life and I think she might feel the same way.
Have you ever had the good fortune of reuniting with an old friend? I would love to hear about it!

I am happy for the reuniting of your friendship. I can feel your pain as i had a similar situation in high school and lost my best friend over something as silly and trivial as where to sit in the school cafeteria. This was my senior year in high school and I graduated without being able to share it with my best friend. I only hope that if our paths were to cross again, we could get that friendship back again as you have. I hope that you enjoy the new friendship that you have found and can keep it growing stronger.

I have no doubt that we will continue to be friends in the years ahead. She is a keeper! :)

True friendships are often hard to find. You have this friendshio twice in your lie. I hope your friendship endures through the years.

That's great a few years later you guys can still reignite the friendship you used to have. What saddens me sometimes when reuniting with old friends is that though we have met again and catched up, we would never be so close like we used to be. It's not like it used to, but I guess that's life and we just have to deal with it. There are some things just meant to be taken away.

Well, I will admit that I was not sure how it would go. I am happy to have her back in my life and hopefully now that we are all grown up, I can not repeat the past.

Yeah that's the right thing to do. Make new memories! Start all over again. It'll be better than the first time around :)

Yes, one of my long lost friend in highschool.
We've got the chance to see each other after 20 years of separation.
That was really exciting and full of amazement how we have changed by time.

That is so true. My friend and I unfortunately don't live as close as we would like, but we work very hard to cherish our time together and to stay in close touch when we aren't together.

That is awesome! It is good to have friends in your life. Sounds like you both grew up and matured and forgot about the whole falling out years ago. Hopefully you can now sit back and laugh at it and think ahhh teenage drama lol. I had that with a grade school friend. We had a falling out went through high school hating each other then at our 10 year reunion last year we hit if off and now talk and hang out a few times a week and I am so happy to have her back in my life! We laugh about how immature our fights were. Just wish I would have realized that back in high school

True friendship won't really last after so many years.
Nice that you are now in communication and reunite again after so many years.
I do have a friend who I am not see for almost 20 years due to migration in other country.Internet and technology was not that good before so we don't really have contact that time.Last May, we have contacted each other through chat.I am very glad that we still remember each.He is planning to come home in our country later this year so we will have a chance to meet again together with our other friends.
