What to look for in a daycare?

I have two toddlers and I've been staying at home with them for the last two years but now I'm ready to go back to work and looking for a daycare. I've never left them at a daycare so I have no idea what I should be looking for. Obviously I want a place where they will be safe and be learning and not just sitting around all day long. Any other parents who have gone through this, are there any particular things I should look for in a daycare center?

One thing that I think is the most important when looking for a daycare for your children is that they are really comfortable in the situation that you put them in for childcare purposes.
This means that you should make several different visits to the facility that you are thinking about. On the first visit that you make to the facility, the parents should go without the child, if that is possible so that they are able to ask any questions that they might have. On the second visit, take your child with you and really pay attention to how they react. If they don't seem to like the facility, then this is not the right place for your children.

First you need to near it down to what you can afford because each day care will have a different amount you'll need to pay. Then you need to look out is there nap times, because if your kids are still napping that might be important for them to still have if you want it. How many kids are in the room and how many teachers will your kids have. Depending on there age will depended on what they will do in day care for that day. Next is are meals provided already or do you need to bring them with food and if you need to bring anything else as well.
