It's really sad to see that tigers are facing extinction...I think the first thing to prevent the extinction from happening would probably be to stop hunting them. I think that is one of the major reasons why there are only a few tigers left. Also, stop cutting down the trees, it is their habitat, when they have nowhere else to go to protect themselves or find food, they will die off. People should also start recycling so that the amount of trees that have to be cut can be reduced.

Yeah, however, it'd difficult to do that when we have more and more people. The more population of people to accommodate, the lesser forests for animals and wildlife to live in. It's not enough that we do our share in keeping things clean and environmentally-friendly. We must stop breeding in order for their species to start accumulating once again. Human rights say that we can't stop breeding. Therefore, we can't prevent them from going extinct.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I believe that we really have to educate people who believe that there is 'magic' or healing properties in tiger parts. This is a huge factor in the black market for tigers. To tell you the truth, with human expansion, and forests being whacked down by the acre, I really do not see much hope for tigers in the wild. People can live side by side with deer, as can be seen by the temples at Nara, Japan. However, a carnivore is an entirely different thing altogether. It is seen as a threat to livestock and people as well. I find this distressing, but unless people are educated, there seems to be little hope for the tiger in the wild. Luckily for us, there are people out there, Leo DiCaprio is one, that is putting punch behind the growth of tiger populations throughout the world. It is very hard to maintain the balance of the forests when they suffer the mutilation of the saw for profit. Profit, it is a hard thing to deal with. Sadly, the dollar remains more valuable than life itself, and it is in cases such as with the tiger, that we see this all too well.
