what is a coven?

I am and always have been a solitary Witch. I personally would never join a coven because i would think there would be too much conflict in all honesty..plus I dont feel the need for all the bells and whistles etc and more than either of those I work best alone and do things my own specific way so my methods wouldnt mesh well with other ppls methods..I just have no interest in being part of a coven..Mind you I have an advantage over some and that being a couple of my very dear friends are either Witches or Wiccan..in fact I became very very close friends with the woman who introduced me to it all yrs ago so its not like I dont have others of a like mind around me which is nice..

I'm solitary, there's no covens or groups any where near me. I don't know if I'd be in one even if I were near any, anyway. Sometimes I really wish I could be around and work with others that share my beliefs, and other times I just want to be alone.The latter more than the former..so I dunno. I'm just happy the way I am.

there are a lot of Pagans in the Westcountry, but all the same, I am a Solitary Witch. my family tradition is quite a solitary one, rather than group based, although I will take part in group work when the need arises. there are people I can rely on if I need extra help, and they can rely on me for the same. I am not Wiccan, so have no desire to join a Wiccan Coven, and even most non-Wiccans work in a way that I find a bit too new fangled and modern. I'm quite an old fashioned Witch really.

I'm in the same boat...I have met quite a few more Wiccans/Pagans since starting my job funnily enough, but covens are few and far between over here (Ontario Canada...middle of no where really though..haha) so I use the net and penpal frequently with other Wiccans, and am actually going to be one of the first members in this 'online coven' an actual Coven in the USA is starting up..I'm friends with one of the Priestesses through ebay and she's talking to me about it a lot..she's great! I'm also probably setting uo an ebay business for supplies with her help this summer...will be pretty awesome!

I am a solitary Pagan but I am a member of an internet coven through MSN. We have a coven pentacle which I recently bought and totally adore. We do rituels together via an internet chat called IMVU. We are all very supportive of eachother and treat eachother like sisters and brothers. It is a wonderfull group but again we are all over the USA so in a way we are solitary witches. Merry Meet
