hi dassodils! i wish you success and joy in your studies! i know there are advantages to staying and studying at home within your family and that your family is supportive of you...but it is natural at your age to feel that you would like to fly out of your nest...the important thing is to be able to fly back when you need to! i hope your family would be supportive in that way...it would be good for you in some ways to leave the nest to study because you would learn independence and how to make decisions on your own and how to be you...these are lessons that are more difficult to learn within the nest! peace and blessings to you dassodils!

Hi Dassodils! :) I kind of get your point here. As the same age as you are, I feel the same way. Though, I got to college in normal school I still don't feel free because its just a walking distance from our house. Sometimes we like to stand on our own not to prove that we are proud but to test our ability and maturity. How can we stand on our own if are in the same house with our parents, right? As the saying goes; experience is the best teacher..

I'm not that sure yet because of my family's financial problems but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a positive result after a year from now!

I was eighteen years old when I started college and I thought that living in the dorm was a great experience for me. There were many things about living in the dorm that I felt like worked really well for me. First of all, I was able to have independence that I would not have been able to have at home. So, in addition to getting the education, I also learned a lot about living on my own that I wouldn't have known until much later had it not been from my living at home with my mother and siblings.

I think that is a good idea, so you will know what it is like to live on your own.. I can't do that though, and i do not want to either.. Since it costs more and we can't afford it, and i have a lot f stuff i can't just fir in a hostel/dorm.. the things i need are in the house.

Lady... All of the people have the different opinions in their life..That's why you don't have the interest for the staying at the hostel..I think that I can concentrate on studies through this decision..

Hostal is good place but be aware because both experience worst and good. You should away from those persons who are not interested in study. Because I feel you are good person and you should pay full attention on study. Make friends but not close because now true friend not in world. Dont start the affair in middle and leave study. All important points keep in mind and go Best luck for your study and new hostel life.

Staying in a hostel doesn't mean that you get freedom. As per your thoughts, you wants too live like a free bird. Consider this mind and suppose that you are in a hostel. You will never try to engage in studies as long as you want to enjoy your life as a free bird. Also you will spoil your time :) Some of my friends was thinking like this and they started to study staying at hostel far from home. They were really sad because they started to miss their family :) Now they just want to complete their studies to get back home :)

Hi friend, you think living with parents is like a bird in the nest, but it is apt to the hostel life. You must be blessed enough to live with your parents, you are in teen age and require elders advice and protection. If you are in hostel and have more freedom, some of your friends may spoil you and your life will be changed due to it. Most of the teen age girls spoiled a lot while they are living in the hostel. In my opinion you already have a lot of freedom, your parents provide enough freedom to you, use it in a good way and achieve a lot in your studies. All the best
