so a few months ago I found out that many people were being kicked out of my line of work because of things they posted to facebook, myspace, twitter, any type of blog. I took action, deleting my facebook and hoping that I would not get into much trouble. Now I am attempting to find things that will help me to gain useable skills, knowledge, or anything entertaining. does anyone have any good ideas on stuff to do or places to see?

Well, you don't have to delete your FB if you trust yourself that you won't post anything that might be deemed inappropriate. Posting family pictures or places is hardly inappropriate isn't it?

That is true, however its more pictures I am tagged in or old friends from highschool that post stupid things to my wall that I worry about, not everyone I know has matured equally over the years but some are still fun to see every once and a while.

Looks like this whole FB thing is getting serious, it's starting to find its way to our professional career life.

Yep, be careful what you put up on the internet, employers are allowed to look back up to two years now on social sites and determine wether or not they will hire you based upon what they see.

I don't have a ton of knowledge but deleting your Facebook was a very good idea because now you're less likely to be caught up on something you've posted that they deem inappropriate. I really do think myLot is an awesome oppurtunity to learn and express your opinion and if you use it frequently, I'm willing to bet that it can improve your English and writing skills as well as your ability to develop a thesis and an argument. I would suggest you find a hobby, something healthy or something you can make money from, and then go from there. I'm pretty sure you're work isn't checking myLot so you have a lot of freedom here and you can be productive as well as earn a reasonable sum at the same time!

I've actually been wondering, do you think that you earn based on the ammount of comments or words you put, or the number of plus ratings people give you?
