a raise today ? r so they say it is one

FINALLY they are going to do something about my raise last yr around Feb I worked for the HOME DEPOT for a year pay rate of 7.95 okay sounds ok right I know Spanish and they would not pay more for me knowing Spanish ok I guess but being since feb that I worked there.I would think I would get a much needed raise come to find out it only was .25 can u believe this? All the rude mad customers I have to put up with and the rules around there always changing but I must remember the good friendly customers as well.

LoriAn, I know that this is probably not what you want to hear, but that is almost a 13% raise. I make approximately $40,000 a year (a little under) and the highest raise I ever received was 8%. I was told at the time by colleage, friends, and family, that that was unheard of! Times are tough, and I've totally been in your shoes. Twenty-five cents feels like a slap in the face. It doesn't sound like much, but that's a fairly significant portion of your pay. I wish you well and great success!
