finding something under the plastic rug

we have wooden floor. when i lifted the rug to clean the floor i discovered it is wet under it. so i immediately dry it with a map because the wooden floor may be damaged if the water stays loo long. so i try not to put any rag on the floor as sometimes i get to discover things under it. it hides things that needs immediate cleaning. so for now i just it when i know i can have the time to check what is under the rug from time to time.
