I posted a short story there and there are some very aggravating ads popping up all around it. They are very distracting and they sometimes pop on top of my story. Arrrg!! Now I do understand that Triond makes money from these ads, but enough is enough!! Ads should not be distracting and intrusive! If that's how it's going to be, it's time to find another content site with less ads and good payouts.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I am also a member of Bukisa and I think that's where I am going just as soon as I cash out at 50 cents with Triond. Then it's hasta le bye bye Triond!

I like Triond because it is so user friendly and so easy to publish on but it pays so low. It took me about 10 months to earn my 50 cents.
I see that you live in The United States. I am also on Yahoo Voices and Helium. I like them both and have earned a little money on both of them.
Yahoo Voices can be picky but they sometimes pay a little upfront money and you can do decently with pay per views. Helium is a tricky site but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to publish to and earn a little.

I am not familiar with Yahoo Voices but I will look into it. I have been with Yahoo for YEARS now and so I am surprised I don't know about this service. I will check them out, Bostinphil. {{{HUGS}}}

Yahoo Voices was called Associated Content until December. Associated Content was bought by Yahoo a couple of years back. I heard about Associated Content from other mylotters. I joined last July. It was easy to write for and publish to. I got some upfront payments and earned pay per views.
In December, Associated Content changed its name to Yahoo Voices and became "more professional". They tightened up. It is now more difficult to get published. I have had some of my submissions just out and out rejected. All others come back for editing. I can no longer just get my article published like I did when the site was more grassroots and relaxed. I have not been able to get any upfront payments since the change.
Still I like the site and I continue to write for it. I have just reached another $1.50 payment for my views.

Hi leafygreens! I'm also a member of triond but I am not writing there for the past 6-7 months but that doesn't mean that I don't like triond anymore. Triond has been my stepping stone to writing. I am really not a writer but triond and its members thought me how to be one. And even if I am not writing anymore,I am still earning from them every month,that's what I like from triond.
I understand how irritating it is to have some pop-up messages as I had that before with expertscolumn but after some time,pop-ups was gone in that site. I suggest you can have some pop-up blockings in your computer so that all the pop-ups will be blocked from appearing in your computer. That is what I have now and I am happy for it.
As for the site you are asking,you can try expertscolumn. They have higher ratings than triond and bukisa.

You are the second person to recommend expertscolumn recently; I think I will have to look into that site. Question--do you have to give away your rights to the articles you publish there, or do you retain the rights as you do with Triond?

Hi suzieqmom! Hmmm..I got confused with the "rights" you are asking.
We are allowed to repost our tiond articles in expertscolumn,that's the very reason why I like that site,hehe! I earn double from one article,hehe! I am not in the mood to write lately so all I do is copy paste some triond articles of mine and repost it to EC(expertscolumn)provided that the article has a minimum of 200 words. I earn $15-$20 a month in that site suzieqmom and I only have less than 35 articles(I think) as of now but I am earning monthly from that site even without writing. so I suggest you go for that site!
