I have encountered some students who were seeking for a book about the Second Story of Creation. I do not know what is it all about for all I know is the creation that God had made in the beginning at the book of Genesis in the Bible. I could not give them any idea about the topic that they are required to research. Nothing is accident. The topic has intrigued me within so I am trying to share it here so I will be enlightened too. Anyone who knows about the second story of creation?

Have you done a search to see what comes up? I'll do one now and see what it's all about. Will report later.

Yes, it seems to be about the second chapter of Genesis where additional details are being given. What are your thoughts on it?

I've never seen any contradictions myself. So if no one brings one up then I'm happy the way things are. If someone brings up a contradiction I'll be glad to comment on it. There are different opinions about every thing under the sun. What can we do? Just because some don't agree with something it doesn't mean that they are right.
The Bible is an amazing book or collection of 66 little books telling us about where we came from, why we are in the present state and where we are going. Simply amazing!

They are referring to the second chapter of Genesis. There are two stories in Genesis. The first differs from the second. If you want to read what they are talking about then read chapters one and two. If you study them carefully you will see they are a bit different. The main difference I can remember off the top of my head is that in chap. 1, woman and man were created at the same time, but in chap.2, woman was created later, from a rib from Adam. Theologians aren't sure who wrote these two chapters but they acknowledge that the style of writing is also very different suggesting they were written by two different writers.

I know what you all meant. but Bible can be very contradicting if we misinterpret. The chapter one and two in thbook of Genesis represent the same time when GOD created earth. It is not that chapter two happened after chapter one as you both think about it.
It is written clearly at Chapter 2 verse 4-5. " 4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.
5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth[a] and no plant had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, 6 but streams[b] came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the LORD God formed a man[c] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Chapter 1 gives a panoramic view and chapter 2 zooms in in on specific events. What is the problem?

Sigh... no problem, 1hopefulman. This is just a discussion about the two creation stories. Read what I said before your post. If you go to those links you will see how the two stories don't always agree. To some, it might be a "problem" but to me, I just know God created it all. So read if you really want to know what the problem is.
