why are some professors are boring?

They are not really boring but it depends on the students how to appreciate their lecture, professors do there best in teaching, they prepare for the lecture, think of ideas, experiment on techniques in teaching. also, the loss of interest of students can also be a reason for this boredom.

I had a few professors that I found boring and I think that I felt that way because they seemed to lack the enthuasiam or the interest in the subject that they had chosen. They talked about their subject, but I got the impression that they just wanted to the lectures to finish as fast as possible. Their lack of enthusiam affected me and it affected the way that I felt about the topics of the lectures. I found the lectures boring and I am quite sure that I would have found the lectures more interesting if the professsors had been more enthusiatic about the subject that they had chosen.

I think being boring of a professor depends upon the students. There are students who think that a certain professor is good and not boring,while others think that professor is boring. Also I believe that some factors affect professors to be boring, some are the subject they're teaching,the time of the class, the type of students, and the teaching strategy being used by the professor, and being passive and active of students also affect. There are instances that professors are simply boring because it's their nature and on the other hand, students simply hate the professor that's why they can't appreciate the prof. and just believe it to be boring.

I do not think professors are boring. I think the subject is the boring one. Some professors are actually fun when you get to know them. I have this teacher once, he was very strict in class but when outside the classroom, he really is a fun person. He went singing karaoke with our class and we bonded with him. So I think professors aren't really boring. Get to know them first before concluding. happy mylotting.

Some Professors looks boring,but they will also have good subject.What is the problem is they wont understand the generation gap.They wont try to fill up the gap.So automatically class will be boring.Students start bunk the class.If anybody wants to be a good professor,He should act like a good friend and at the same time he should know subject also.From student side also professors need support.

i think it goes both ways, if you are not interested with the course then it will be boring and if the professor dont know how to make the subject lively then there would be students wandering.

It is true some professors and teachers and lecturers and trainers are boring. They should know the importance of self image, how can one have the confidence to hear or listen or inspired if their dressing already a mood killerBut none can beat the professionals that when they dont do their homework and start giving lectures only themself can understand

It much depends upon the taste or expectation of the student. For me I only find a prof boring when he/she doesn't know how to give jokes when student's got bored specially on difficult lessons.
