I have studied both Astronomy and Astrology in my life. Now I do believe that Astronomy has a bit more validity than Astrology. Still I do recognize both. Now some people that I talk to say that Astrology is just a bunch of bs. Some people say that you should pay more attention to Astronomy. What I would like to know is what everyone's opinion on both are. Do you think it is better to do Astronomy than Astrology. Or do think that both have some kind of validity.

Im much better at astrology than astronomy, but i really do believe that both are quite valid, and also there for a reason.

It depends on what you are going for. For example,if you are interested in the scientific, and quantitative, you would be looking into astronomy. This will focus only on theories and hypothesis that are open to scientific process. Astrology, is the study of how the planets, their positions and stars, etc. affect our future or behavior. That is the difference. It depends on what you are interested in. Astrologers are not interested in what the rings of Saturn are composed of, however, the Astronomer is. The astronomer does not care if the position of Pluto has any meaning on his future, the astrologer does. That is the basic differences between the two.

Astrology and astronomy both have validity.Only the thing is your end goals. If you want to become a good scientist just choose Astronomy.Astrology is an ancient science, learning Astrology is good. But in terms of career wasting of time only.
