What's your favorite efficient and fun car?

Over the years I've driven a number of cars. Some fuel efficient, some very... Not fuel efficient. I've had cars that do 0-60 in under 4 seconds, but they run off of premium fuel and make about 10 MPG, so not really ideal for this day and age. With that said, what's been your favorite efficient car, that's also a pleasure to drive? For me, it's been my 1999 Miata MX5. Nothing special about the car performance wise, it's got a little 1.8 liter engine, and does 0-60 in somewhere around 7 seconds. But it also makes 25 MPG in the city, and is an absolutely blast to drive. Because the car is so tiny, it feels like you're accelerating and going so much faster than you actually are.
