Diana was one of the Greatest Helper of Poor People.

I was there in UK from January to March 1997. I came across many magazines and I have seen the dedication of Diana for the poor people. She took a big loan for the sake of orphan boys and girls. To pay the loans, she worked hard and she sold her all clothes, dresses, ornaments, shoes etc. People of Britain loved her very much. They used to buy her used items instead of good amount of money. Poor people lost a trusted friend at the death of Diana.

Dear Urbandekay, we should respect the opinion of others. English is not my mother language. I have learnt English by hard efforts. So, you should not utter nonsense. Your expression shows that you are habituated to respect others and you have tendency to neglect people. If you are in the sense, you should beg excuse for you behaviour or you should quit mylot.

As far as I know the UK is a democracy (parliament) and the royal have a figurative role? This does not mean they may not have influence just as movie stars or poplar people in the media have. In Canada we have the same style of government and a governor. The governor has limited status as far as power is concerned. That person could be approached publicly if there was a unconfident leadership in the house for example. Even though I am not in public office can I also not have a say? sorry if you don't like me

I don't know it is a fact or fiction, many Brit. don't think she is the greatest among the Royal, they love their queen and prince much more than her. If she is what the magazine said she is, then it is definitely a great loss to the poor people since she is in a position of wealth and power to render much helps to many poor souls. I am quite surprised British Royal family will allow a local magazine to print her story of generosity and move the media limelight to her instead of the queen and prince, which many considered her as a country girl married for convenience and power. Sigh!

I am a great admirer of Princess 'Diana/ She was an incredibler woman on so many levels. The things that she did to help the poor are ofte overshadowed by her royal status. It was a tragic loss to humanity and the workld to lose her so young. i am sure there was a great deal left for her to do, She was a shining example to so many and is sorely missed by the world.

I thought she was special. I saw a documentary on her but it was very controversial. It said she started a movement and perhaps an organization that was influential in taking the issue of mines to the united nations. As history tells us the military use of mines has been declared by the UN as unlawful. (please tell me if I misinformed) I think the concern against the use of mines was in direct relationship with children being employed to clear a field. On another note I also have admiration for her husband, Although many take a disliking to many members of the royal family, it is no secret he has done wonderful things for charitable organizations. If you also listen to some of his discussions with people you can understand his words are very worthy of listening to.

Dear friend, Bluedoll, Thank you for your spontaneous participation in my post. Yes, mine is very harmful explosive. Civilians (common men, women and children) are greatly affected in explosion of mines. Most of Human Rights Organization, UN and intellectual people firmly opposed against the use of mines. There are so many people, who became victimized after the Vietnam war, Iraqi Invasion, Afghanistan etc. Yes, using of mine is banned now. But people do not listen all rules and regulation, Geneva convention etc. USA and almost all countries are using Cluster bomb. It is a big bomb (called mother bomb having so many baby bombs), consist of a good number of small bombs. When mother cluster bomb is exploded, then baby bombs are scattered around the field and explode one after another (all baby bombs do not explode at the same time) at different times to create panic among people. Thank you so much for your participation.

Dear friend Riya, thank you so much for your participation in my discussion. Diana was a big personality. She established charitable fund to help poor and orphan children. There are many rich people around the world but all do not take pain as like as her. So, I think nobody is comparable to her.

She was special, and I use to be very intrigued by her. It was the glow in her eyes that attracted people I think. I miss seeing and hearing about her. She did, but I think she should with all the cake she had. I think she was an angel.
