Crazy Heat Stories

What crazy things have you done to stay cool in this heat.
It got to 101 today and yesterday was i believe 98. It was so hot upstairs last night at my boyfriends we brought his bed mattress down stairs to sleep in the ac.
It was funny but, its so big we both could hardly lift it and we ended up fliping over the stairs to make it on the living room floor.
what have you done?

i used to hold an icebag infront of the electric fan so that the air it will release would be cold.

Today I was chopping up and moving downed trees with a chainsaw, the heat made me feel as though I was in a bad dream. This was not completley negative because it helped me to pass the time faster and pretend that I was slaying lava monsters like the old 90's Marines commercials rather than trees.

Oh wow, i would hate to have to work out in this heat.
I dont know how people can do it i would be so lightheaded and sick.

hi musicluv4life! as i have had the great privilege to move to minnesota we are not experiencing the same heat that i have every day of my life (practically) as a georgia girl...but i do remember one summer when the air conditioning was busted sitting around with ice bags on my feet as i had read that if your feet are cool you are cool!

Oh yeah because they heat enters your body through the feet and head. I bet it felt good though.
