I've been using timeline for ages, basically since facebook introduced timeline and i am okay with it. I refuse to get myself annoyed or dissatisfied with petty matters as there are more important things about facebook than just timeline. Just for your information, if i am not mistaken last month a friend of mine used the timeline remover to to remove timeline from his facebook profile, and just a few hours ago he posted something like "Why on earth is the timeline back on my page?" So i am guessing the timeline remover software is just a temporary remover. So i would suggest you get used to it. Make peace with it.

yeah that happened to me too.. I didn't like the timeline so I did a search on how to remove it, then when I finally found one then walaaaa my timeline is removed.. But when I open the page the following day I was surprise and disappointed,,, my timeline was back... I ask some few friends of mine and they also experience the same thing and they can't find another way to remove it. so I just move on and try to like it...

I am also not happy with time..I have tried it several times to get back my previous profile but i was unsuccessful. If anyone has any idea, please revert.

My daughter e-mailed Facebook and was told the timeline can't be removed. Personally, if there was a way to remove it permanently I would do it right now. Posts don't show up right away and sometimes the only posts you can see are the day before, so its not useful when people want a response that day.

its entirely easy,just drop in a mail to the facebook support team stating the reason why you would not want that and they will suddenly remove it,you cant actually or infact remove that on your own

I have never had facebook ever respond to any of my emails including one where I had a password problem.

Good question and I am afraid I don't have an answer. However I have heard tell of a program that you can get that makes you're own profile look normal.. but only to you.
I am just darn lucky that my facebook never caught the random timeline disease!! Knock on wood:) I just hope one day I don't wake up and BAM!! there it is in all it's glory.

Unfortunately, Facebook opted to retain the timeline layout. So, there is no chance that you can change your profile to it's previous skin. I for one was shock to browse my profile changing on timeline. Facebook keeps on upgrading and changing it's preference that makes us Facebook users confused about the new things they made to "improve" the site. Personally, i don't like the facebook timeline but then again i have no choice since it's automatically changed.
