Do you usually go for Free or Paid hosting for your Blog?
There are many free blogs like Wordpress,Bloggera etc, that give a newbie the complete set of tolls to start blogging without any Programming skill. They provide free WYSIWYG editors,SEO tools,File managers,Themes and a Dashboard of tools and applications. Its been a great experience.
I haven't yet use a paid hosting. What is it like. Do you have more features? Can a newbie use it without any problems? What advantages does it have?

I dont think you have to used a paid hosting for a blog , its just that if you have a keyword in your blor url its easier to remember a .com than a bloodspot also the .com would probably be on the first page of the search engines.

I prefer free hosting than paid hosting. If I am using it for some official purposes I prefer paid hosting, which could meet the maximum needs of the user. But some sites provides higher specification at the free hosting. It would be better than the paid hosting.

Only thing i found is if your using free blog there is a chance of down time in server.I.e also very few time in very rare cases.Paid hosting also chance is there, but compared to free blogs up time is higher. When you are having high traffic you can go with paid hosting.Little bit extra features.

Until now I used the free hosting. But I try to apply to a paid hosting once I the budget is enough. I think paid hosting and free are almost the same features.

Well if your doing so just for fun, perhaps go for the free ones first. There is no sense paying when you can get it for free. But if you are intending to use it for business, then a paid hosting site is definitely something to invest on. It comes with many features that the free site does not have. It also looks professional and naturally customers will trust. Along with that, you can even have your own professional email. But then again, it is all up to you depending on your need and your intention for such site.

I use only the free Blogger sight. I am not sure why people say you have to have a paid sight for it to be popular or famous. If people like your blog and you get lots of traffic, it will become popular free or otherwise.
