Hi all I know I have not been about much and have had a few messages asking me if I am ok
Well a lot has happened over the past year
I have been very sick for a while but got over it, a Friend of mine a very good Friend passed away and I took it very bad and got very Ill and quiet for a while
Now for the good things lol
I have stopped smoking have not smoked for 7 weeks I have been trying for 9 years to stop ever since I got diagnosed with my Illness but nothing worked and now I have found something that does work
Gissi has had a severe Haircut but will let him tell you about it, he has also been very Ill again we nearly lost my Baby
A couple of weeks back I met a sweet Friend from here and I will be seeing her again next Year when I do my yearly visit to Germany to Family
I am also going to be a Grandmother in December which I am over the moon about but my Son and his Girlfriend split up and he wants to be there for her and the Baby but she is not having any of it, but there is a lot to that which I will not get into, she has a bit of a problem but we are all in touch and on good terms so that is good
So that is about it, there is more but it is boring lol so not going to bother putting it here
I will try to come here a bit more
So what has been going on with everyone here??

It does seem a long time since we heard from you. And I am very glad you are back.
Life does go on. One thing about old age is that I can't really remember what all has happened in the past year or so. But just recently, Hubby and I have a brand new Great grandaughter. She was born last Sat. on the 7th of July which was also her parents 5th wedding anniversary. She's about 3 driving hours away from us so we will just have to wait until they come to visit to hold her and of course spoil her all we can. Blessings

hi hon, glad to hear from you again. I have been ill again and the heat is just killing me. I will be moving to a low rental and I am very happy about that. Finally, I won't have to work so hard writing. I can enjoy what little bit of my life that I have left to live.
There are good things and not so good things about the apartment, it is a senior's residence but it is just so far away from everything, that is the major problem. Then there is the fact that I can't take my washer and dryer with me and it hurts me to part with them but I guess I will survive.

Hi Gabs, I missed you and Gissi.. First let me say how sorry I am about your friend and the illness you and Gissi went through. I am happy you are back though..
Next a BIG CONGRATS for quitting smoking!!! I am sure you will so much better and have more energy now..:D
As for what I have been doing lately? Not much really, the same stuff, trying to fix a laptop a neighbor gave me only to find out it is probably the wireless router that isn't working to get me online, not the laptop. Still trying to revise my story that probably won't happen now because my family doesn't see it as work, but fun, and has to interrupt me when I write, hence the reason I am trying to get my laptop online.
So I guess really nothing new here on this end...

Hi Carmel, you make sure you do not give up on the Story no matter what I do hope you will get the Router working, you can find out if it is the router by plugging the Laptop on wire into the router if it works then yes it could be your Router but please do not give up the hard work and I wish your Family would respect it a bit more and give you support
Big hugs Sweetie

Yes, when my son plugs the cord into his computer and when I plug it into my laptop, we both can get online. So then it really is the router? I wondered, because when I unplug the router, I lose internet on this computer, so I am going to have to have my son remove the router and reconnect so I can get online while I wait.

Hi Gabs!
I'm so happy you're feeling better and so proud that you quit smoking! What an accomplishment. I also have quit since Mothers Day May 13th and feel much better than I did smoking. I think I remember you mentioning on Facebook you used the e-cigs...that's what I'm using and it is working perfectly.
Congratulations on becoming a Grandma That's just awesome and will fill your days with happiness I'm sure. Hope everyone will finally get along because that is very important, for the babys sake especially.
Oh yes, just want to let you know I de-activated my Facebook account. I just don't like all the changes going on all the time.

Glad to hear that you have quit smoking. I have been trying to get my husband to quit and not been successful. Congratulations on the grandbaby! Too much happening for me to go into detail about. Trying to keep the voices in my head from driving me crazy!!

For me, lots of job changes. And my son got into some trouble, also got a divorce, which was in process anyway, lost his house, which was Okay, except I had to clear it out as he was gone for a bit, and I had just had foot surgery. He is back dating the girl he dated fifteen years ago, and I like that, she makes him smile. My daughter still lives too far away, she just had her third child. I guess that is about it.

Oh Gerty I am so sorry for your Son I know what it is like to worry about them, my Son is going through a hard time again right now as now we have doubts that the Baby is his which he is devastated about but when the Baby is born we will have a DNA Test done
But I am glad that your Son now has found happiness

Hi Gabs, glad your feeling a bit better. Nice to know that you've stopped smoking keep it up and you'll eventually feel even more better (can take a time though). Likewise looking forward to being a granny will make a difference to your life.
Like you I've not been very active here for a while. Thought that after retirement I would have more time to spend on Mylot was just wishful thinking. What I have done though is have an e-book published its about Climate Change (if you think you would like to read it send me a PM and I will send you a free voucher for it). It is suitable for almost all e-readers and can also be read on a pc without needing an e-reader.
Poor Gissi, what an operation he had to have, hope he doesn't feel he is missing out on life to much.

As for your Book yes I would like to read it but it will have to be on my Laptop lol

hi Gabs its great news you still dont smoke. Congrats to you as it will sure be excellent for your lungs in the long run.
So sorry that your son broke up with his girlfriend who is pregnant. Hope you got to see your grandchild and spend time with him/her cause grandmothers are so important. I saw it in my own life. My Grandma lived in the same house from the time I was 4 to almost 25 and I got to say I owe everything I am and have become to her. She taught me about life, she made me follow in her footsteps to be a fighter who wont give up just cause things wont work out when I try the first time. She was such a great encourager. you sure will be like this for your Grandchild too and I hope the young mom wont take it out on you that the relationship with your Son didnt work out.
Its wonderful he still wants to be there for her and the Baby and I can imagine how it hurts him when he is just pushed aside and told he isnt needed and wanted any more. Wish I could help him.......
As for me, I am glad I moved back from old hometown to where I live now and dont have that small apartment any more. I liked the place but it was too close to my drama queens family which resulted in ugly nightmares plus it was too expensive to keep all the time.
Maybe I get a transfer at work to a city nearer to my new hometown, there is a branch office two hours by train from here not 4 hours as I have it now.

I am very pleased to see you back here Gaby. Out of sight does not always mean out of mind! We have of course kept up in other places. Great news about you becoming a grandmother, although you are still far too young for that, you must have been an infant mother! You aren't doing so well with your smoke free life now and I hope that it will have a knock on effect on your general health. I am so pleased that you had met a German friend. She is a very sweet woman in one day, when I have a passport again, I will endeavour to meet her myself. XXXX

Hi gabs
Missed you a lot dear friend. And I was worried.
My dear one, first I must congratulate you on getting rid of that smoke around you. I remember your problems and ailments - lungs (if I am right).
You mention Gissi had some problems too and it is good that he is fit now.
you know, most of my dear ones have been having some problems or the other of late and I too am no exception. I was diagnosed to have aggravated Ulcerative colitis (it became a little more severe) and the new addition on my set of ailments is Stones in Gall Bladder and kidneys.
But then dear, I firmly believe that most of our ailments are testing times for us - and if we stand right during these low patches, we definitely can look up at brighter sides.
I am glad to read about you and dear Gissi and do hope to see you more often like the earlier times my dear. Take care

I know you were missed! BRAVO for you on quitting smoking! I would like to know what worked for you and maybe I could quit too.
Congratulations on the coming grandchild. Let us hope things work out for everyone, especially for the wee one.
Me? Same old, same old pretty much. I did change jobs a couple of months ago... by choice... I had to reduce the stress in my life. I make less money now, which worries me a little, but the price of the drama in the old workplace was much too high. Hopefully everything I do online to earn extra income will increase! I really like where I work now and it is stress free!

Hi, Gabs, I'm glad to see you again here. Life becomes very hard and sad sometimes but we need to overcome bad things. I'm glad that your got over the illness. And it's especially good that you've quitted smoking, congratulations! I won this battle about 5 years ago and I know that it's hard. When I was young I used to believe that when you've had too much bad experience, there is nothing more left but to begin a better journey. I wish you to have better days now. And we'll wait for your stories.

First I want to say congratulations to you for quitting smoking. It's not an easy feat for most people. I've been quit since 2001 with 2 small lapses in 2005 and 2006. I hope I'll never lapse again.
I'm so sorry about your friend passing away. It can really do a number on your health when you grieve someone.
Im glad the little man is doing better now. I wish him long life and much happiness with you and Gissi.
Love you much Gabs!
