Almost At GOLD

United States

I have three/four more transactions left until I reach GOLD status. I am so excited! However, I've talked to Gold card members before, and they told me that it can take up to three to six weeks to receive your card in the mail. For those of you who are gold members, has it taken that long for you card to come in the mail?

Congratulations on your Gold Card!!! It is such a wonderful feeling when you reach that point. I love mine and the bonuses that it gives me. Actually depending on where you are, it may not take that long. I got mine in about a week. I love having a gold card...it's like being a top level customer at Tiffany's!! The great plus is every fifteen drinks you buy you get a free one. Just make sure that you keep an eye on the expiration date so that you don't lose the free drink. The other wonderful thing about being a Gold Card member is that you get your service from the company much faster. My first Gold Card wore out and I called about it and had it replaced in less than three days! I called to complain about one of the local Starbucks charging for hot water (in my Starbucks travel mug) and that I had to pay for the hot water. The next thing I knew the main office had put the money back on my card plus the same amount again (double your money back). I have had people put down Starbucks...one lady was ranting about how much Starbucks drinks cost and then tried to convince me that the crap they sell at the service station that has the cheap coffee drinks was better than Starbucks! NO WAY!!! I so love going in and getting my Frapp on a hot day. Right now I am hooked on the Mocha cookie crumble with coconut.

Loverbear: Thanks for the additional information! You rock! Wow, that's incredible; you really do get treated like a rock star as a Gold member. I did not know that the service was so posh. Now, I am salivating over getting a gold card!! I know that some of my friends/family put down Starbucks also because of how expensive the drinks are. Yet, I've been to another coffee shop that makes drinks similar to Starbucks in the past--and it wasn't good at all. If I am going to get some type of coffee drink, I am going to get it at Starbucks, and I love their MUFFINS. They are fantastic and so are their brownies...and some other pastries, too! Besides, I treat it as a treat, too. I don't get it all the time.

It is so cool being a gold member! I ordered my Mocha Cookie Crumble yesterday with extra Java Chips...and got the extra chips at no charge. It was 106 degrees yesterday and it was great being able to wrap my mouth around the wonderful cooling chocolate and coffee.... I couldn't get it across to people that you get what you pay for. Starbucks is no exception. I feel that if you're going to have a treat you may as well go for the best! Enjoy the card...

I've gotten mine in about 10 days... But you don't really have to use it... I'm assuming you're using a gift card & you've registered it on line... You can actually keep your current gif card... I did for about 3 month before transferring all the funds to new gold card... I've used it so much that I'm at gold status for few extra years... I lost count after 4th year... I only started using it since 12/31/2011...

Thanks for telling me that, Sk66rc. I believe that I still have a few more drinks or Starbucks products to buy before I reach goal...but I am still very excited.

Hi, Sk66rc: Are you telling me that once you become once you reach Gold status that it is already in the computer...and that you can still use your registered gift card in the mean time to receive your gold benefits? If that's what you're saying, that's just really awesome!!!!!
