since right now, i'm listening to the greatest band known to man... pearl jam!!! been listening to pearl jam's songs from their first album up to vs up to vitalogy. evenflow...black...jeremy...spin the black circle...elderly woman behind the counter in a small town...daughter...yellowledbetter...betterman...why go...leash... and the list goes on and on. was also listening to some mudhoney, alice in chains, and soundgarden. i didn't limit my listening to grunge though. i also listened to a lot of gin blossoms, counting crows, black crowes, nirvana, jane's addiction among others. red hot chili peppers, rage against the machine, korn, stone temple pilots also made the list. of course, i listened to some hip-hop artists as well, beastie boys, cypress hill, dr. dre, snoop dogg, nas, nate dogg, and ice cube. listening to all these songs and artists brought back a lot of memories. its as if i'm reliving my life during those times. to some degree, i felt like i never left the 90s because i can always go back and listen to these songs and artists. anyway, what sort of music to you listen to that reminds you a particular time in your life? who are the artists/bands that bring you back these memories and what songs take you down a trip to memory lane? feel free to chime in my fellow mylotters. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

oh 90s music is the best for me. I could remember listening to vertical horizon, oasis, gin blossoms, red hot chili peppers, and a whole lot more artists that were really popular back then. They were the true artists for me, their music still lives on till now.

hi jazel! yeah, really love oasis and vertical horizon as well. vertical horizon's 'you're a god' and 'best i ever had' were songs i sung for my ex-girlfriends. lol! was really sad i missed their concert here last month. oasis was one of my favorite brit groups back then although my favorite brit band was and still is blur. 'song 2' and 'charmless man' are gems that the youth of today should listen to. so what do you remember when you hear the songs of oasis, vertical horizon, gin blossoms, among others? please share it jazel. thanks for participating and happy mylotting!!!

hi prosniper. i listen to metallica, system of a down, and audioslave as well. not so much to iron maiden. i've heard about spineshank but really know nothing about mastodon. mettalica released their black album in the 90s and i listened to my copy a lot of times. although 'enter sandman' was their carrier single for the album, my favorite song from that album was and is still is 'of wolf and man'. thanks for participating and happy mylotting!!1

hi hatley. why'd you hate hiphop dog? lol! to each his own i guess. i like the beatles but was never really a fan. beach boys, listened to a couple of their songs but i can't say that i'm a fan as well. listened to classical music during a part in my life. my daughter was an infant then and that's what i'd have playing in the background. back then we have two stations playing classical music non-stop so it served its purpose. also listened to jazz with my daughter when she was still a baby. still listen to miles davis and john coltrane occasionally though. i listened heavily to my 'friday night in san francisco' featuring al di meola, john mclaughlin, and paco de lucia. i listen to some blues but not so much cause it keeps me down. lol! anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting!!!

I love listening to the 70's music. My favorite is Deep purple. It may sound too old for you, right?
